Salometic Lunatic
My Words are Useless, Even if I Were to Speak Them
I sighed at her outburst and and took her out into the hallway. "Ms. Leavold, I can't give you an answer to that question, I need to speak it over with my advisory," I said quickly and quietly, giving her an excuse to shut up. "I know what you're doing, Ciel. Please, call me Mae," She said and smiled, moving a bit closer to me, which made me sigh yet again. "... Mae, I cannot give you an answer, as for now I'm spoken for," I said coldly, blanking my eyes out. "Spoken for? Your fiance told you she hated you," She said and smirked. "Childish behavior, she'll be fine," I said and turned around to walk back into the room. "I shall have an answer for you by tomorrow, until then, I wish for you not to speak of this matter to anyone," I walked into the room with that, and sat on my chair.
Sebastian almost immediantly bent over and whispered in my ear: "Tanaka is waiting for you, I advise you go meet him in your office immediantly. Ms. Elizabeth will also be there, but she will wait with Mae outside," He finished and stood, erect like he should be and walked silently to MAe, who had just entered the room, not discouraged at all.
I waited a moment before I stood back up and walked outof the door, briskly walking to meet Tanaka at my office. Once I arrived there, though, he stayed quiet, drinking his tea. "Tanaka, what is it?" I asked, annoyed at waiting forever. "Young Master, I believe that you need to think long and hard about this matter. Before it was always known that Elizabeth would be your wife, but it is known to cause birth defects if you marry in your family, and as we know she is your cousin. Not just that, but Elizabeth is childish and can only bring you down. I believe Mae is the better choice," He said and sipped his tea again. "We're going to have a bit of a... contest. To see who is better, it was Sebastian's idea," He said and smiled gently. "Elizabeth! Please come in now!"
Elizabeth walked in, her head down, and I could tell she was about to cry. As soon as she sat down, she started muttering, and I could tell it was about the bitch threatening to take me away. "Elizabeth, why do you love Ciel so?" Tanaka asked, catching me off guard and making me jump back a bit. "Because, he's so wonderful and nice," She said and smiled up at me sadly. Wonderful? Nice? I was anything but. "Are you sure you're not just seeing him as how he was before and not how he is now?" Tanaka asked, and I almost felt insulted. "Of course not! He hides himself with that cool exterior, but I know he's who he always has been, nice little cute Ciel," She said and her smile grew, no doubt seeing memories of the past. "That's enough, please tell Ms. Leavold to enter once you see her," He said and took a sip of tea. So Elizabeth only sees me for who I used to be, eh?
Mae entered, her footing soft and her head held high, and I saw the difference in the two clearly. "Please sit down, Ms. Leavold," Tanaka said, and she looked at me, grinning ear to ear like she was going to win and she knew it. "Now, Ms. Leavold, what attracts you to our Young Master so much?" Tanaka asked, shocking me once again.
