Chapter 2- One More Day

Do you think you can find it
Better than you have it
Better than you have it
Said all I need is the air I breathe
And a place to rest my head
Said all I need is the air I breathe
And a place to rest my head
Do you know where the end is
Do you think you can see it
Until you get there
Go on
Go ahead and scream it
Just say

After singing I looked down (just for effect for the video). We were in a loft slash place to rehearse at. Videos were always fun to do, you can always become somebody you want to but you know you will never be in real life. For Fire we had wore all black and set things on fire and of course performing in a fire, it was pretty cool.

But this video (like the songs) were different, it was soft and it was one of those songs that does something to you at one point but you don’t know what it is or how it happens. I call parts like those G- spots of a song (insider) because in the words of Foley “Like every girl every song has one”.

“That’s a rap!” Kay proclaimed as we finished.

Out of all the songs we have done Say was my favorite. We had met Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic and he had given us the song.

“You know if I could when I walked off the set I would just drop this.” Gavin said.

“We know.” Brady nodded coming from behind the drum set.

“Ok tell me that I am not the only one psyched for this tour.” I said as we all walked.

“Never have I thought I would say this but why can’t it be Monday?” Foley said.

“Ok guys action in 5… 4… 3… 2…”

We had cameras with us from MTV during the shoot. I had to admit at times I hated cameras but then you get used to it.

“Well thank you for following us on this here thingy.” Gavin clapped.

“Yeah oh and make sure you get Rubicks Cube.” Foley pointed.

“Yeah and about the quote un quote spelling error in the album title there is none so, well I can’t say what I want but hop off.” Brady added.

I laughed. “Enjoy the video. Bye.” I said waving.

“Thanks guys.” Pat the producer said.

“Anytime.” We all said and nodded.

“All right guys interview number 2 of the day.” Foley said as we began to walk again.

It had been like this a lot lately. Interview after interview after interview. And as I said they got annoying sometimes.

“Hi I’m Carl from Stereo Talk.” The interviewer said.

“Hi.” We all said.

Stereo Talk was a YouTube channel that interviewed bands and singers.

“Ok we just want to ask a few questions that some viewers sent in for you.” He explained when we sat down.

“Ok.”

“This will be easy.” Gavin scoffed flicking his hood on his head.

“Ok guys we are rolling in 5... 4… 3…2.”

“Hey I’m Carl Hodges and you are watching Stereo Talk. Today I am here with Poison By Society. Hello guys and girl.”

“Hello.” We all said.

“So just one year ago you guys were rehearsing in a garage, now you guys are here shooting a video. How does that feel?”

“I think Nick can answer that.” Foley said.

We had a plan with our interviews. Gavin answered what’s to come for PBS questions. Foley and Brady answer the tour and studio questions and I get the how does it feel and what our music is about.

“Well I know that it all feels unreal to all of us in a way. Like you said we were practicing in garages and basements and now we are here getting ready to go on a tour.” I explained.

“Well what is that like? Meeting the people who inspire your music.”

“That’s mind blowing.” Gavin scoffed. “We met Green Day and freaking Pearl Jam. Honestly we stood there dumbfounded and they we all hey you guys are a great band.” Gavin laughed at when that happened.

We had gone to a photo shoot and Pearl Jam was there for something and they had told us that our music was good and they liked how our sound never stayed the same. We met Green Day at a recording studio and like Gavin said it was all mind blowing.

“What genre would you guys put yourself in?”

“Honestly we don’t know ourselves. I mean we aren’t heavy at times but sometimes we aren’t light and soft and then there is a line of mediocrity which I don’t think we have a solid definition on either.” Brady said.

“What city are you guys starting the tour?”

“Here in LA actually then after we are going to Palm Springs I think.” Foley answered.

“Ok, well some of our viewers have questions they want you to answer.”

“Bring ‘em.” Gavin said.

“Haley from San Antonio wants to know, do any of you have any tattoos if so where and what is the relevance of it.”

“Well what I have isn’t a tattoo but I consider it one because its there for life and it’s a gash Nick left in my leg in the first grade which was how we met. But other than that I have one on my left shoulder that says Viva La Music and I think that speaks for itself and a cross with a design on the back of my leg.” Brady answered.

“I only have Viva La Music on the left side of my chest.” Foley said.

“I have two on my chest and one on my side, one that’s like Brady’s and says Viva La Music on my left side and on my chest I have I love mom and a angry pig, which is an insider joke.” Gavin said.

“I have a barcode on my left wrist and on the left side of my hip it says Viva La Music also on my left hip and I have a rubics cube on my right pelvis.” I said.

“Birdie from South Dakota wants to know if Nichella is in a relationship with John O’Callaghan from The Maine.”

That was another thing. Since I am the only girl on tour that puts me in a relationship with everybody.

“Actually I haven’t met him yet so that answers that.” I laughed.

“Rick from Atlanta wants to know what the guys think of having a girl in the band.”

“It’s not what you think it is. It’s not the whole she’s ultra girly and as PMS hissy fits and that shit.” Foley explained. “It’s pretty cool and she’s pretty cool so it all works out.”

“Mick from Miami wants to know what Gavin means by a music G spot.”

We all laughed at when Foley had come up with that idea.

We were sitting around listening to What Would I Want? Sky by Animal Collective and when the music transitions we all had a “music orgasm”.

“The music G spot is when there is a climax during a certain point in a song because just like every girl, every song has one.” He explained.

“This last question is from Jaden from Albany, If you could cover any song what would it be.”

“Brain Stew by Green Day.” We said at the same time.

“There is this whole telepathic thing that goes off in everybody when we hear the song. We see the video and everything. It’s crazy.” Brady shakes his head.

“Well thank you PBS for this interview.”

“Anytime.” I said.

“Ok who’s up for Jamba Juice?” Gavin declared.

“You’re driving.” Foley said.

“Well I’m going home to pack but bring me something later.” Brady said.

“Same.” I said starting to leave. “Oh yeah guys, we have one more day until the tour.” I smiled.

Gavin got a happy look on his face. “Fuck yeah!”

Ok I'm trying to do a chapter either everyday or every other day, but I have to see how that works out. John should be in the next chapter by the way.
Also the lyrics in the beginning are not mine. It's OneRepublic's Say(All I Need). I used it because I love the song.
