Outspoken Silence

"Monkey see Monkey do"

"and if I shall die before I wake, I pray the lord, my soul to take."

I'll never understand why it is you do, what you do.
I'll never understand how you claim that you're a man, but you do.
So what if you work hard, to help us live, when you just turn around,
and dig a ditch, to store away our lifeless bodies.
Not a breath will ever again, pass our lips.
Not an ache in our entire bodies,
No blood flowing to the heart.
Never again shall we leave you, seeking a new start.

Here we go again, bringing you down, but I just can't seem to help myself.
But I have a question for you, just one more. I promise the answer should be
easy, and any memory, less sore.

Was it not you, Dear Monster, who lived the same life? Who had to do the same, all the sacrifice.
You know the saying, "Monkey see Monkey do?" well hell, these days, every saying links back to you.

I know this may be traumatizing, but you could have at least saved us from it. I'm all for Hollywood,
but enough with the reenactments. You went through the same hell, you lived the same heartache,
and I can't quite seem to stress it enough, You lived the same heartache, the same hell. You
hurt beyond all recognition, you knew how it felt! So why would you do this again, why recreate the
same hell?
