Simple Minded

I was trapped—trapped in my own mind with no escape.

Author's Note: Banner by me. Written for a contest. Inspired by Spring Awakening's The Bitch of Living. I'll just go ahead and let you know that there is no happy ending. This is the part of us that is consumed with self-doubt, self-hate, and feelings of worthlessness, though it only hints at it. I don't think I could live with myself if I had to write about being bulimic. It would just be too hard and every word would end in tears on my part.

* Eating disorders are in no way glamorous or trendy. If you are suffering from anorexia, bulimia, or any other type of relating illness, I cannot say how much I stress getting professional help. There's nothing wrong with wanting help; you just have to admit that you have a problem and want to get better. If you don't want to get better, then you are just hurting the people around you because no one can help a person who doesn't want help. Remember that you are not alone. Most importantly, remember to love yourself.
