Prologue

Alex pushed her dark brown hair out of her eyes. She scribbled her pencil against her black notebook.
It was a doodle of a dinosaur. She giggled as you finished, “He’ll love it!”
“Shnazzy!”, Kim smirked from behind her.
“Stop it!”, Alex whined as the blonde teased her.
“Leave her to her dream love!”, Tammy said oh so romantically.
“Guys!”, Alex yelled as the kids in the after school program walked out.
“ALEX!”, yelled a brown, curly haired boy.
He ran to her, holding his hat down as he ran.
“Hey Dustin!”, Alex giggled as she got a big hug.
It was soft and shy, he was a cutie.
Tammy and Kim slipped away to let them be cute.
“What’s that?”, He inquired as Alex handed him the folded doodle.
“Open it!”, Alex commanded.
“Yea ma’am!”, he did as told, and a smile to his face took her breath away.
“Do you like it?”, Alex asked a little self-conscious.
“Like? More like love! You are the coolest friend ever!”, Ha laughed.
And there in lied the problem…
