Hanru Sazuki

Hanru Sazuki Volume One Chapter Eight: Special Bond (Spring 2009)

(It is raining heavily. Natasha is driving in major bumper-to-bumper traffic. Every car on the highway is at a standstill. Natasha is getting frustrated and twitchy. She's tapping her steering wheel constantly with her index finger. Hanru wakes up in the dark trunk to the sound of rain. The only light in the trunk comes from dark stop lights of the car. Hanru is feeling mixed emotions. His face cannot show one emotion. He tries so hard to express how he's feeling, but he cannot.)

Hanru: (Thinking) I'm a good person. I try to make people happy, that's all I've tried to do. Now this is how it ends...? No. This isn't how it ends. (Angry) Do you hear me, you slut! When I get out of here, I'm gonna kill you! I'm gonna wrap my fingers around your neck and strangle you till you die! Do you hear me!?

(Natasha knows Hanru's talking to her. She gets even more frustrated.)

Natasha: (Talks low to self) Oh, I wish I could just kill you right now. Just a few more miles and I will.

(Hanru begins screaming at the top of his lungs. He then goes crazy and throws a fit in the trunk. He's trying his best to break out of the rope Natasha has used to tie his hands. He moves crazy around the trunk and he starts kicking everything. Eventually he gets the ropes off. His hands burn from the rope. He begins to slightly calm down.)

Hanru: Why is this happening? I've tried so hard to be a good person. Not like this… I refuse to die like this: Alone and unhappy. My life's not complete yet. There are still so many things I haven't done. I can't let anything bad happen to the people I care for.

(A nice young man in a heavy coat knocks on Natasha's car window. She rolls the window down.)

Salesman: Excuse me, ma'am, I don't mean to bother you, but by any chance would you be interested in buying some doughnuts?

Natasha: Doughnuts?

Salesman: Yes, ma'am. See we got all flavors from glazed doughnuts, to lemon custard. You want it; we got it. If traffic is slow and your car is stuck, talk to me and buy a doughnut.

Natasha. You sell things during traffic?

Salesman: It's a good way to get my hustle on. You know, with kids, and a wife, you need money.

Natasha: I'll pass. Now get out of here before I skin you alive.

Salesman: Thank you for your time, miss.

(The Salesman walks away and Natasha rolls her window up. Hanru is still in the dark trunk.)

Hanru: (Thinking) I don't hear the salesman, he must have walked away. I could've told him to help me, but Natasha would've probably killed him too. If I'm getting out of this, I need to do it alone. Maybe… Wait, what's this? My sword. She didn't know I was lying on it. Mr. Malitz, my history teacher, told me about this. In some of these newer cars, you can knock one of the stop lights out from the trunk. I can use my sword to knock it out. Hopefully someone see's my hand.

(At an abandoned cabin, deep in a dead forest, Sarah has just got to the front door. She bangs on it while holding her stomach with her other hand. Allen opens the door and catches Sarah when she faints. The cabin looks as if it were previously burned and there are huge holes everywhere on the roof, walls and floors. About ten minutes later, Sarah wakes up to the sight of Allen watching over her and the sound of rain. The house is freezing. Sarah is wrapped up in the warmest blanket in the house, and the only blanket in the house. Allen is sitting next to her on an old beat up couch. He's smiling at her. Jason's across the living room. Everyone whispers the whole time. Jason and Allen are shirtless.)

Sarah: I failed. I couldn't do it.

Allen: (Shushes) I know, I know. (Jason walks up to them.)

Sarah: I really wanted to change. I know this was my last kill, but I couldn't do it. I know I could've killed her, but I didn't. I fought her instead and almost died.

Allen: We can tell. (Chuckles)

Sarah: (Smiles) Where is he? Where's my Johnny?

Allen: He's sleeping in the back. Try not to wake him.

Sarah: Where are we?

Allen: We're in a cabin. A fire broke out a few months ago. This place was completely abandoned. We don't have any heat and it's freezing cold.

Sarah: (Joking) Guess that explains why you and Jason aren't wearing shirts. (Smiles)

Allen: We only had one blanket. We gave Johnny our coats and shirts to keep him warm. You're not as small as him so we had to give you the blanket.

Sarah: Why not warm your selves up with the fire place?

Jason: There are holes in this cabin. The wood is wet inside and out cause of the rain.

Sarah: Its raining too…?

Jason: I know this isn’t the most luxurious place, but it’s the only place where we'll be safe for now. We can't trust Natasha.

Allen: Let's not talk about her right now, Jason. Look, Sarah, you need to rest. That stab wound won't heal any faster with you walking around everywhere.

Sarah: I want to make sure Johnny's alright.

Allen: I can take you to his room. The two of you can keep each other warm. (Smile)

Sarah: Thank you.

(Moments later, Sarah is walking down the cold cabin hallway. She sees a deer staring at her from outside a window. The deer lies down. Sarah snaps out of this distraction seconds later.)

[Ada's home]

(Mimi and Ada are wrapped up in their blankets eating chips, soda, and fruit. They are on the living room floor playing poker. Lightning softly roars through the house. They do not seem scared, however Mamimi is nervous about something. The silent peaceful sounds of rain can be heard.)

Mimi: (Nervous) I didn't want to say this cause I thought you might think I was weird...

Ada: You're not doing a very good job convincing me you're not.

Mimi: (Smiles) Funny.

Ada: (Smiles) I try.

Mimi: Don't take this the wrong way, but you look pretty hot right now.

Ada: (Sarcastically) Okay... I won't take that the wrong way...

Mimi: No, I'm sorry. I just mean...

Ada: (Laughing) I know what you mean. It's natural for everyone to say that to me around this time.

Mimi: (Confused) Um... Really?

Ada: Yeah. You're fine. Don't be nervous.

Mimi: It's kinda hard not to be. I mean, you're so gorgeous?

Ada: (Smiles) Are you gay?

Mimi: (Nervous and confused) Do you want me to be?

Ada: (Smiling) Answer the question: Are you gay?

Mimi: Maybe sometimes...? Okay I'm not, but I think some women are good-looking. Maybe a little bit too good-looking.

Ada: I guess I believe you.

Mimi: Great, great. Cause you should.

Ada: Hey, you know what we should do? We should play a word game.

Mimi: Like hangman?

Ada: I was thinking more of making words out of letters. Here. (Opens the notebook that's next to her.) You think of a word to write down and I'll try to make words out of the letters you use.

Mimi: Why not make it a bit more challenging? I'll use a name of an object or piece of furniture in the house. You have to make words using other pieces of furniture that's in the house.

Ada: Sounds fun. Let's do it. I'm good at connecting words and letters to each other.

Mimi: Excellent! (Nervously thinking)

Ada: Now what?

Mimi: It's just... Why is it natural for me to think you look beautiful right now? Do you get this comment often?

Ada: Something about the rain. I don't know, for some reason, whenever it rains I look good to most people.

Mimi: I envy you.

[Apartments]

(Lawrence and Israel have just walked into the landlord's depressing and dusty office. The landlord is upset. He's sitting at his desk holding a little bit of money in his hand and smelling it with satisfaction.)

Israel: Why is it so dead here? your apartments are like a ghost town.

David: They left. All of them. They said they couldn't stand living here anymore. Every single person that lived here is now gone. I had to give most of them back their money. Do you know how hard that was for me!?

(David slams his fist on the desk and smashes a roach by accident.)

Lawrence: I can imagine...

Israel: Well. Since you're losing all your money and business, we have no more business here. Bye-bye.

(Israel and Lawrence walks to the door.)

Lawrence: Have a wonderful day. (Smiles)

(Lawrence leaves the room. Israel and Lawrence are talking while walking down the hall.)

Lawrence: That poor guy. Are you sure this is gonna work?

Israel: (Excited) Trust me, It will! Everyone told him they wanted to move out, but I told them to say that. He's gonna lose everything. He's gonna be a homeless drunk out on the street!

Lawrence: So that's your plan?

Israel: No. Just part of it.

Lawrence: When he losses everything, what makes you think he's not gonna just get another job?

Israel: Come on. You know what I was in the group.

Lawrence: The temptress?

Israel: Exactly. I was able to charm guys and lure them to Jason and the group. Sometimes I had to stalk those guys.

Lawrence: You're gonna stalk him and find out where he goes to fill out applications. Then you're gonna persuade the managers to not hire him?

Israel: (Pinches his checks) See you can be smart when you want to be.

Lawrence: Let me guess: If the manager is a woman, you want me lay my charm on her.

Israel: (Excited) You're doing good. I'm so proud of you.

[Prison]

(A cab stops in front of a prison. A woman gets out and closes the door. Minutes later, she's sitting down in a small booth. She looks stressed. The woman is revealed to be Erika. A prisoner sits in the other side of the small booth. A glass sits between the two of them. The man is Angelo Armejo. He grabs the telephone on the side of him. Erika grabs hers. Erika is angry the entire time.)

Angelo: (Grins) A surprise visitor. Come to see more of what I’ve got, baby (Winks).

Erika: Shut up. Leo arrested you and your partner; the maid. That German guy was killed. But someone's missing. You and your psycho buddies, killed my friends many years ago. You even tried to kill me. There were four of you; not three. There was you, the maid, the German and your boss. Your boss was the one who made things personal. He was the one who actually tortured my friends to death right in front of me. All he could do is laugh while he was doing it.

Angelo: You want to know where my boss is, is that it? (Erika gives Angelo a vicious stare) Okay. He told me to only contact him, if it was an emergency. So if he asks, you didn't get his address from me.

Erika: That's it? You're just gonna give me his address and let me mossy along to his front door?

Angelo: My boss can handle himself. You barely escaped the cabin alive when we tortured you. When he sees you again, he won't hesitate to kill you right away. I’m sure of it. He made a pledge to kill you if he ever laid eyes on you again.

Erika: There's no doubt in my mind that he will. So I'll prepare.

Angelo: You should let your cop buddies handle this. You'll have a better chance at getting him.

Erika: The cops I work with are not my buddies. They won't understand. My whole life has been filled with nothing but misery. Before I die, I'm gonna make everyone who ruined my life pay. They will all die. You and the maid are exceptions. But not your boss or Oliver Rayne.

Angelo: Who's Oliver?

Erika: No one you should be concerned about. Now give me the address.

[Ada's living room]

(Mimi is sitting on the couch, while Ada's writing in the notebook. Mimi's cell phone rings. At the same time it rings, the lightning lets out a loud roar.)

Ada: Ooh, a dangerous call. Answer with caution.

Mimi: (Answers the phone) Hello?

Holly: Hi, Mimi. How are you today?

Mimi: I guess I'm fine... Why?

Holly: Hanru told me to call you.

Mimi: I'll get him for that.

Holly: Anyway, he told me to hide out at your house. He didn't want me getting involved in... Something. He didn't tell me what it was.

Mimi: (Sighs) Well, Holly, you know... My parents wouldn't like that and plus, I don't like you. So no.

Holly: Look I understand you don't like me, but Hanru said to do this.

Mimi: (Takes deep breath and puts palm on face) Fine. Only because Hanru said so.

Holly: I owe you for this. I promise I wont be in your way.

Mimi: Whatever. I'll pick you up at your place in an hour. My parents can't know you're there so you're gonna hide in my room and stay silent. They're gone most of the time so you won't have to hide for long.

Holly: Thank you.

Mimi: One hour. (Hangs up phone)

Ada: You look frustrated.

Mimi: Oh I am.

Ada: So what's your vendetta with Hanru's girlfriend?

Mimi: It's not important.

Ada: Okay. Hey you mind driving me to the station when you pick her up later?

Mimi: Sure. Whenever you're ready.

Ada: Well... (Rolls her wheelchair over to Mimi and shows her the notebook.) Did I get the words right?

Mimi: (Surprised) Yeah, all of them. Wow that was fast.

Ada: I use to play word games all the time. I was even on an episode of Wheel of Fortune.

Mimi: Nice.

[Abandoned cabin]

(Jason and Allen are sitting on the freezing cold living room floor. LJ walks in with three small round containers.)

Jason: About time you got here. I called you almost 30 minutes ago.

LJ: I called your mom 30 minutes ago.

Jason: Was that really necessary?

LJ: It wasn't. I'm sorry. I got held up at the store. (Throws one container at Jason and one container at Allen.) I know you needed me, but friends come before business. That's what I believe.

Allen: Sleeping bags?

LJ: I know how cold it is here. I also got you some fresh firewood. It’s in the car.

Jason: We really appreciate this, LJ, but we have more important things to talk about.

LJ: What could be more important than my best friends?

Jason: Stop! This is serious. Sarah told me that she saw Hanru getting in the trunk of Natasha's car. She was gonna get him, but she was bleeding to much and she had to hurry and tend to her wound.

LJ: So she didn't kill Natasha, and the person Natasha's trying to kill is in her truck?

Jason: Sarah's been killing for a really long time now, it was hard for her to let go and kill one last time.

LJ: So what do you need me for?

Jason: Hanru's a smart kid, but smarts won't help him in this situation. He needs luck if he's gonna survive against Natasha. If Hanru does escape, she will go after his friends. I need you to kidnap all of Hanru's friends. Make sure they're all together.

LJ: You want me to kidnap them to ensure they'll be safe?

Jason: Exactly. I prefer they not see your face, so they can't describe you to the police if anything goes wrong. But it's your choice whether or not you want to take that risk.

LJ: I'll do what I can.

(Sarah walks into the living room.)

Sarah: Let me help. I got Hanru in this situation; let me help get him out.

Allen: You need to rest, Sarah. This is no time to be Wonder Woman and save the day.

Sarah: I'm not playing hero. I'm need to redeem myself.

Allen: From what?

Sarah: I need to kill Natasha and save that kid. I once wanted him dead and tried to kill him myself, but things changed and now I want to save him. This is my last assignment. My last job for the group. Please let me do this, Jason.

Jason: You do understand that you're risking your life here?

Sarah: I understand.

Jason: Try to relax. If you move around too much, your wound might get worse. Don’t forget your son needs you.

Sarah: Yeah, I know.
Jason: Stay at Hanru's house. LJ will capture everyone, but you help watch 'em.

LJ: So I'm taking them all to Hanru's house?

Jason: Yes. Oliver will make sure Hanru's house won't be tampered with.

Allen: He means Hanru's uncle won't be going home for awhile because of a case.

LJ: Good. I kinda hate that guy.

Jason: Go.

Allen: And thanks for the sleeping bags.

LJ: No problem. The third one's for Johnny.

Sarah: I'll give it to him.

LJ: While she's doing that, I'll go get the firewood from the car.

(Hanru has just knocked out one of Natasha's back lights from the trunk. He reaches his hand out and begins waving it around. A man in the car behind Natasha's sees this. Traffic is still slowly. Natasha's almost at the exit of the highway. The man in the car gets out and crouches while he runs to the trunk. The rain continues to pound on his head. He ducks behind the car when he gets to Hanru's waving arm. They are both whispering.)

Derek: Yo, bro, you alright?

Hanru: (Puts hand back in and tells to self.) Oh thank you. (Talks to Derek) Please get me out of here.

Derek: How, bro?

Hanru: Listen, the girl who has me locked in here is gonna kill me.

Derek: Ah, ex-girlfriends. I know what you mean, dude. I remember this one time when I-

Hanru: (Cuts off) Hey, I'll listen to your story after you get me out, okay!?

Derek: What should I do?

Hanru: I don't know, just think of something.

Derek: Hang tight little dude; I'll get you out as soon as I can.

(Derek runs back to his car.)

Harnu: No, wait, wait. What's your name?

(Derek is already in his car. Natasha looks on her dashboard and notices she needs more gas.)

[Holly's home]

(LJ and Sarah are in a dark SUV watching Holly's house and a cop. The cop is in a normal vehicle across the street from Holly's house.)

Sarah: I'd recognize a cop anywhere.

LJ: There's some tranquilizers in the glove compartment. Use those to take him out.

Sarah: Can do. You got a plan? (LJ smiles and laughs)

(Sarah walks in front of Holly's house and stands in the middle of the street. The cop sees her. An SUV charges at Sarah. The cop drops his sandwich and quickly gets out of his car and runs at Sarah. He pushes her out of the way. The SUV continues to drive down the street. The cop lifts Sarah out of the puddle of rain. He puts his coat over her and takes her to the car. Sarah is crying. He puts Sarah in the front seat, then closes the door. He then goes into the drivers seat. He boosts up the heat.)

Cop: Now I don't think you really wanted to kill yourself. You want to talk about what's going on in your life to where you‘re pushed over the edge like that?

Sarah: (Cries harder) I can't take this anymore. I have nowhere to live, I'm homeless. I've tried to get a job, but I just can't. No one will hire me.

Cop: Come here. You need a hug.

(As soon as the two hug, Sarah stabs the cop in the back of the neck with a tranquillizer. He passes out within seconds. She gets out of the car and steals his sandwich. The SUV stops beside her. Sarah enters the SUV.)

LJ: What's the sandwich for?

Sarah: He thinks I'm homeless. When he wakes up in a couple of hours, he'll think I just knocked him out for his food. He won't suspect anything else.

(Another SUV parks in Holly's driveway. Mimi gets out and rings Holly's doorbell.)

LJ: Looks like we can kill two birds with one stone.

Sarah: We should follow them first. Jason wants them protected. Kidnapping them while they're driving is too dangerous. And remember, Holly's wanted by the police. They're going somewhere to hide. We'll take them when they get to their destination.

(Mimi enters Holly's home. She doesn't seem too happy.)

Holly: You made it!

Mimi: Yeah... Let's just get this over with please.

Tsuki: Someone has an attitude.

Mimi: No offense, Tsuki, but I do not like your sister.

Tsuki: I don't blame you.

Holly: Hey!

Tsuki: Just kidding. But I'm curious. Why don't you like my sister?

Mimi: I'll tell you some other time, just not right now; we need to go.

(Holly and Mimi both get into Mamimi's SUV.)

[Gas station]

(Natasha is inside a gas station. it is out of town and a large forest is in front of it. Along with an empty road. Only a few people are at the gas station. Derek quickly runs to the front seat of Natasha's car and pushes the button to open the trunk. Hanru grabs the trunk so it doesn't open too fast or too high. He rolls out and closes the trunk. He puts his sword on the ground. Derek walks to the back of Natasha's car and faces Hanru. Derek has his back toward the gas station so Natasha cannot see his face. Hanru is ducking behind the car.)

Hanru: Ah, thank you so much. I didn't think I would get out alive.

Derek: Look, bro. I've dealt with chicks like this before. Trust me, the best thing to do is confront them.

Hanru: No you don't understand.

Derek: Look, I'm gonna stay here and tell her to lay off you, man.

Hanru: Dang it... Guy. You don't get it. She's an actual killer. She tried to kill me. She tried to take my life. She killed a cop right in front of me a few hours ago and threw his body over the side of the road. Look You saved my life and now I'm trying to save yours. But if you choose to stay here and confront her; I will have no choice but to leave you here.

(Natasha sees Derek standing by her car. She walks out of the store before the clerk can give her change. Derek looks back and sees her walking toward him in anger.)

Derek: Shoot, she's coming, man, she sees me.

(Hanru quickly crawls under the car. Derek turns around to talk to Natasha when she walks up to him.)

Derek: (Excited) Hey, what's up?! Look, I don't know if it was the cocaine I smoked earlier, but I could've sworn I heard someone in your trunk just now.

Natasha: You should lay off the drugs. They could cause great harm to your health.

(Natasha gets in her car and quickly drives off, almost hitting Derek. When she's exiting the parking lot of the gas station, hanru quickly jumps from the bottom of her car. He lies there for a few seconds until He knows she can't turn around and see him. He then walks up to Derek.)

Hanru: I guess that was a good excuse.

Derek: So, dude. You mind telling me why a serial killer's after you?

Hanru: It's a long story. I'll tell you while we're in the car.

Derek: What do you mean, bro? My Exit's almost up. I have to meet with my girlfriend's family tomorrow.

Hanru: Just follow her until your exit comes up.

Derek: You just barely got away from a serial killer, why would you push your luck?

Hanru: Look... What's your name?

Derek: My names Derek, little dude.

Hanru: I'm Hanru. Look, Derek, I need to know where she's going. When she finds out I'm not in the trunk of her car, no telling what she'll do. I need to know where she's going.

Derek: Fine. This is a 0ne-way street, so she couldn't have gotten far. And uh... Nice sword by the way. What is that, a katana?

Hanru: Yeah. Me and this thing go way back. Now let's go.

[Mimi's room]

(Holly and Mimi are talking in Mimi's room. Mimi is a bit more friendly to Holly.)

Mimi: So this is my room.

Holly: Why is everything wooden and not feminine?

Mimi: Cause my parents suck and they're poor. Now enjoy the house and don't let my parents catch you.

Holly: Got it.

Mimi: Good. And don't eat the Danish in the fridge, that's mine.

Holly: Sure.

(Mimi walks away. Holly looks around Mimi's small boring room with discomfort and disappointment. She then leaves the room and follows Mimi to the kitchen. Mimi checks her Danish in the fridge and closes it as soon as she hears Holly walk behind her.)

Mimi: Can I help you?

Holly: I know you don't like me. But if I'm gonna be here for awhile, you and I need to have a better relationship.

Mimi: I'm not interested in being your friend, Holly. Why can't you see that?

Holly: I'm saying we should work on our relationship for Hanru.

Mimi: Hanru doesn't seem to have a problem with me not liking you.

Holly: Why am I even here?

Mimi: That's a good question; why are you?

Holly: Forget it. I tried making peace with you. Obviously nothing gets through to you. At least answer me this, and I need an honest answer. Why do you have suck an expensive car in your driveway, but you live in a dump?

Mimi: Who are you to judge me?

Holly: I'm not judging you, I'm asking?

Mimi: (Signs and calms down) Look my parents... The SUV was given to me by a relative. And... My parents are... Horrible people. No one knows this, but I was adopted. Hank and Lisa are not my real parents. That's why they don't treat me like their daughter.

(Holly walks up to Mamimi and puts her arm on her shoulder.)

Holly: I'm really sorry.

(Mimi jerks Holly's arm off.)

Mimi: Don't you tell anyone. No one knows I'm adopted. No one. Not even Hanru.

Holly: Maybe I can keep my mouth shut. Maybe.

Mimi: You're gonna blackmail me now?

Holly: I am. I promise I'll keep this a secret. Just as long as you do whatever I say. One day, I'm gonna ask you for a favor. You will do it; no questions asked. (Extends arm) Do we have a deal?

Mimi: (Slaps Holly's hand away) Deal.

[Police station]

(In front of the police station, Erika is seen walking to the front door. Officer Oliver walks up behind Erika. The two of them stop to talk to each other in the rain. Erika is angry the whole time.)

Oliver: Hello, Erika. It's been awhile. At least... That's what everyone thinks.

Erika: You're a disgusting worm and I wish you'd die.

Oliver: Oh come now; is that anyway to talk to your formal lover? Your first lover?

Erika: What could you possible know about love?

Oliver: (Walks closer as he says sentence) I know it's something I use to give you every night.

Erika: Yeah, it was, Oliver. It's a shame it all had to end. But in a way, I'm glad it did. Otherwise, I would have never known about the real you.

Oliver: You don't know the real me, Erika.

Erika: Really? I don't know the real you? The things you've done to me have scarred me for life. The drugs, the rape, the abuse. Even the videos of me you put on the internet! Videos that you forced me to make!

Oliver: I'm not that type of person anymore, Erika. I've changed.

Erika: Shut up! You think just because you tell me you've changed, I'm suppose to believe it? Do you really think you still have a chance with me? Don't try to deny it; I can see it in your eyes. You haven't changed a bit.

Oliver: All I can say... Is sorry... I'm sorry, Erika. You were always so special to me and... (Gets cut off)

Erika: Stop it. Just stop it! I can't do this. Not here, not now. I have to get back to work. You should too.

Oliver: You don't look well; you should take a break.

Erika: Goodbye, Oliver. (Walks toward the front door.)

(Oliver runs up to her and grabs her arm to stop her. Erika screams and begins to panic for a quick second. Oliver sees the expression on her face and he lets go. Erika begins to cry a little.)

Oliver: You really are scarred.

Erika: Please, just leave me alone…

Oliver: I can't let you go. Not while your in pain like this... You weren't always like this. You were always happy and full of life. It's my fault... I'm the one who... killed you... I killed your personality, your smile... Your innocence...

Erika: (Whispers) Please... Don't...

Oliver: I understand the feeling.

Erika: You understand?! You don't know what I have to go through everyday of my life! You should be locked behind bars for the rest of your life for what you did to me! Maybe then you'll know how It feels.

Oliver: Feels to be what? Tell me how you feel. Show me what I've done to you. You want me to know how it feels to be what?

Erika: To be trapped. To not be able to move on in life. To not be able to have any connection with the outside world. To have the need to connect with the opposite sex. But to not be able to satisfy that urge. I'm lonely, Oliver. I want you to feel what I feel. I want you to feel cold, dead, trapped, condemned, heartless. I want you to pay for what you did to me.

Oliver: I understand. I have permanently cast demons in you. You want me to endure the pain they've inflicted upon you. In you. I will. I promise. This is my payment to you. I will face these demons. And will not fight them. I will let them consume me completely. The amount of pain they will inflict on me will never match up to the pain I have given you. But I will suffer the pain of a thousand births, if it helps you find peace.

(The captain walks up to the both of them.)

Maurice: What's going on here? (Notices Erika crying)

Oliver: (Nervous. Clears throat) Captain.

Maurice: Look, I understand there was some romance between the two of you, I understand that. But you can't bring your personal life to your work place. This is why that rule applies.

Oliver: Sorry, Captain.

Maurice: And where have you been? No one gave you the okay to take a break.

Oliver: I just needed to talk to Erika, sir, sorry.

Maurice: Your apology is accepted, but for now get back to work. We'll talk about this later in my office.

Oliver: Yes, sir. (Makes eyes contact with Erika for 2 seconds. He then walks into the police station.)

Maurice: What happened?

Erika: I don't want to talk about it, captain. I can't work; not like this. I need to get home.

Maurice: I'm sorry, Erika, but your still on your shift. I can't let you go. Working will keep your mind busy. I'll make sure he doesn't come anywhere near you or give you any trouble alright..

Erika: Thank you. (Walks toward the front door)

(Sergeant Giovanni walks up to the captain.)

Giovanni: That was a good move just now. Her being alone is not a good thing right now.

Maurice: I know that.

Giovanni: I'll talk to her later, when she cools down.

Maurice: Alright. Attend to your duties, sergeant

(Mimi runs by pushing Ada in her wheelchair. They all head inside.)

Ada: Hey, captain.

(Minutes later)

(Leo, Ada and Justin are sitting at Leo's desk. The three of them are in a very happy mood.)

Ada: I know, it sucks. The station just isn't the same without me, is it?

Justin: No, it's not.

Ada: Hey, Justin, what ever happened between you and your girlfriend, Cerina?

Justin: Well she said let's take a break, so we did. It's been months since we took it, so I'm guessing it was just a break up.

Ada: Awe, I'm sorry.

Justin: It's all good. We're still friends though. No awkward feelings between us, so we're friends.

Ada: Well, that's good.

Leo: How's the wheelchair working out for you?

Ada: I'm adjusting to it, although I'm trying not to.

Justin: Why is that?

Ada: Well, I'm only gonna be in this thing for about another week. I just don't want to get too attached to it. Then when It's time for me to get out of it, I'll be use to sitting down all the time and doing things different.

Leo: Then it'll be harder for you to do things the way you use to do them.

Ada: Exactly.

(Erika walks pass Leo's desk. She continues to walk toward the elevator the whole time.)

Justin: Hey, Erika, look who stopped by to visit.

Ada: Hey, Erika.

Erika: (Sounding like she's in a rush) Nice to see you again, Ada. (Enters the elevator. The elevator doors close.)

Ada: What's her problem?

Justin: She's just under a lot of stress.

Leo: Yeah. Work can do that to a person.

Ada: Hey, where's Mimi?

Justin: She said something about going to the bathroom or something.

Ada: Right. I forgot. I wish she took me with her. I wonder why she's been in there so long. Hey, Leo, do you mind pushing me?

Leo: Just until Mimi gets back.

Ada: That's fine.

(Hanru and Derek are still tailing Natasha. Natasha turns into a large forest. Derek pulls over.)

Hanru: Good idea. If we follow her in the forest, she'll know something's up.

Derek: Actually, this is where we part ways, bro. My exit's right there.

Hanru: Well, I guess I can follow her on foot. Or maybe I can take the bike that's on your roof.

Derek: No way, bro. My girlfriend's always making me bike ride with her. And she's gonna be pissed if she finds out I can't ride with her. On second thought... Take the bike. I hate riding bikes with her.

Hanru: Look. I'm not an expert on relationships, but I think couples should do things they enjoy doing together. Doing something you both enjoy is a much better way to bond then doing something that only one of you enjoy doing.

Derek: Dude, when you're in a relationship, the woman is always the boss.

Hanru: A relationship consists of two people. Take charge and tell her how you really feel about doing certain activities with her. Tell her you don't like ‘em or find something that you think the both of you would enjoy.

Derek: Look, dude, when you're a man in love, all you want to do is make your girl happy; even if you don't like some of the things you do for her.

Hanru: The only way you're gonna make her happy is to bond with her as much as you possible can. You have to express how happy she really makes you and express how you really love and care for her. Girls make their boyfriends do activities they don't want to do all the time. But what girls don't understand is that it's not true bonding if their forcing them to do an activity. They may be happy, but you're not. When couples do things they both enjoy doing, they're left with a feeling of unbelievable and indescribable feeling. That's because they're both happy and they feel each others love.

Derek: In relationships, the love's always there.

Hanru: Choose to always have it there. Find a way to always make her and yourself, happy at the same time.

Derek: But if we're always happy with each other and the love's always there, won't we eventually get bored of it? Won't our relationship end faster because we're always with the same person?

Hanru: Love is forever. Even in death. Love isn't something you get bored of, it's something that last longer then a lifetime. It's something that only gets stronger as time goes on.

Derek: That's pretty deep.

Hanru: Yeah...

Derek: Hey, you should get back to your girl.

Hanru: (Whispers to self) Mimi...

Derek: Who? No, man Natasha.

Hanru: Natasha...! I forgot all about her.

Derek: So who's Mimi?

Hanru: Look, I need to catch up with Natasha. Can I use your bike?

Derek: Sure. And thank you. I'll try to work on my relationship.

Hanru: Good. But don't say the wrong thing and ruin the relationship.

(Natasha is parked in the middle of the forest starring into the empty trunk of her car. Hanru stops about 20 feet away from her on Derek's bike. Natasha turns to him. She slips into a deep emotional and psychotic state.)

Natasha: You knew I was gonna kill you. You knew…

Hanru: I can tell by the bullet holes on your trunk.

Natasha: Why did you come back?

(Gentle roar of lightning. The heavy rain continues to fall upon them.)

Hanru: (Turns bike around) I followed you for a reason, Natasha.

Natasha: And did you accomplish your goal?

Hanru: On some level, I think I did. You live in this forest don't you?

Natasha: Yeah. I life in a luxurious cabin. It's about 2 miles from here. I'm impressed, kid. I can't believe you cheated death, then came back to face it. I can't believe you came back to face me.

Hanru: My life has taken a big turn since I became friends with Casey Harris. I only tried to find out what happened to his uncle. Then I end up getting involved with a group of killers, and I found out a lot about myself.

Natasha: It's probably gonna take you at least 8 hours to get home on a bike. You're out of town.

Hanru: I know. But I'll be okay.

Natasha: Will you?

(Natasha falls to the ground unconscious. A man walks from behind one of the trees. The man is Allen. He walks up to Hanru and speaks to him sincerely.)

Allen: (Smiles) You actually escaped from her. Not many people have been able to do that. Unfortunate for them.

Hanru: You're not here to kill me?

Allen: No. I was walking through the forest, then I saw Natasha's car. I watched her for a few minutes. She was talking to herself. Then you showed up. I shot her with a silenced handgun. But she's not dead. At least not yet.

(Natasha quickly gets up and runs into her car. The driver's door is open and the car is already started, so she jumps in and hits the reverse petal. The car almost hits Hanru and Allen, but Allen grabs Hanru and jumps out of the way. Natasha then drives off into the deep forest.

(Mimi's bedroom)

(Holly is sitting on Mimi's bed. She's talking to her dad on her cell phone. They both sound really happy.)

Holly: Really, dad, I'm fine. You don't have to worry.

Bruce: You're my daughter, I'm always gonna worry.

Holly: Why, cause it's your job as a father?

Bruce: That's right.

Holly: Well, hey, Don't worry. I'm just gonna stay here with Mimi until we figure out something.

Bruce: How are things between you and Hanru? Are they good?

Holly: Actually no. It still feels like we're slowly drifting apart.

Bruce: Are you thinking about breaking up with him?

Holly: (Lying) What? No, no, dad. I'm not thinking about breaking up with him.

Bruce: You're not lying to me, are you?

Holly: No, dad, I'm not.

Bruce: Okay.

Holly: Hey, dad, I'm gonna get going now, okay.

Bruce: Alright. Thanks for letting me know you're alright.

Holly: No problem. I'll call you again in exactly 30 minutes okay.

Bruce: Call me every 30 minutes. Okay, sweetheart?

Holly: (Giggles) Okay, dad. I'll talk to you in half an hour.

Bruce: Goodbye, sweetie.

Holly: (Both hang up the phone. Holly hears the floor crack in the other room. She quickly turns around.) Hello?! (LJ walks into the room and closes the door. Holly quickly stands up. and begins to panic.) Who are you?

LJ: Nobody you should be concerned about, Holly.

Holly: Are you a cop?

LJ: (Chuckles for a second) Nope, and far from one.

Holly: What do you want from me?

LJ: Your boyfriend stuck his nose where it didn't belong. Now we have to involve you, I'm afraid.

Holly: What? What are you talking about? (LJ begins walking towards her) Stay away from me!

LJ: Sorry, Blondie.

Holly: No!

(LJ charges at Holly and grabs her. She desperately tries to run away, but she can't. LJ pulls a syringe out of his pocket and stabs Holly in the neck with it. She then passes out instantly. Moments later, he's seen putting Holly's body in the trunk of his car. Inside the trunk, is Mamimi. She is tied up and unconscious. Hours later, Hanru is in his kitchen. He is talking to Bruce on his house phone.)

Hanru: No, I haven't seen her. She hasn't dropped by either. I've been trying to call her, but she's not answering. Mimi's not even answering her cell phone. Come to think of it, neither is Lee or my brother.

Bruce: Oh no.

Hanru: Hey, don't worry, I'm sure she's fine. Look call her again, alright. And I'll call Mamimi.

Bruce: Call me back when you finish.

Hanru: Alright.

(Both hang up. Bruce calls Holly's cell phone again and LJ answers.)

LJ: Hey, daddy.

Bruce: Who is this? Who are you?!

LJ: The man who's keeping your daughter hostage. The man who has control over your daughter's life right now. So I wouldn't say anything that would upset me right now if I were you.

Bruce: If you so much as touch her, I'll track you down and kill you myself.

LJ: You're not in any position to threaten me right now, Mr. Bruce. Or should I say, your daughter's not in any position for you to be threatening me. You better watch what you say to me. Lately I've been having trouble controlling my anger. It would be a shame if her life had to end because the wrong words were said to me and I snapped.

Bruce: (A tear falls from his eye) What do you want with her? Why my daughter? Why not me?!

LJ: It's bad enough she had to get involved in this. I don't want to get you involved too.

Bruce: You have my daughter! I'm already involved!

(LJ gets deep in thought about something. He begins to feel sorry for Bruce. His voice gets softer.)

LJ: Answering your call was a mistake. Do not call the police. If I so much as see a cop coming my way, I will not hesitate to put a bullet in Holly's chest. You've been warned. (Hangs up the phone) Why did his voice sound so familiar? I know him.

(Hanru is still trying to reach Mamimi's cell phone. The doorbell rings. Hanru quickly runs to the door and opens it.)

LJ: Hey, Hanru. How's it going?

(Minutes later, Hanru, Lee, Mamimi, Lawrence and Holly are all sitting on the living room couch. Their hands are tied behind their backs. They can still walk and talk. They are all conscious.)

Lee: So this is it, huh? This is how it all ends?

LJ: Shut up. No one's gonna kill you. At least not right now.

Mamimi: (Angry) Let us go now, LJ!

LJ: I'm afraid I can't do that. You see, you're lives are in danger. Natasha Ellison is a dangerous person.

Hanru: What do I have to do with that? I just escaped from her and now I have to escape from you?

LJ: Crawl out of one hole and into another.

Lawrence: So you're just here to babysit us, LJ? That was your best job in the group.

LJ: I'm here to make sure none of you get killed by Natasha. I'm only here to keep you hostage, not to kill you. Hanru, I need you for something.

Hanru: (Looks at everybody and thinking) I can't risk him threatening anyone else if I refuse. Maybe he won't kill them, but he might hurt them. (Says to LJ) Yeah alright. What do you want me to do?

LJ: I want you to talk to Bruce. Tell him his daughter's okay. Then I want Holly to talk to him.

(Moments later, Hanru is talking to Bruce over the phone. Bruce is excited at the call from his daughter's phone call.)

Bruce: Holly!

Hanru: No, Mr. Bruce, It's Hanru. Listen I need you to stop crying. Holly's with me okay.

Bruce: What! She's with you. Oh thank you, Hanru. Let me hear her voice.

Holly: Hi, dad.

Bruce: H-Holly... You're okay.

Hanru: Some guy has us held captive. Even Mamimi. I want you to know, Bruce that I will protect her. I won't let anything bad happen to your daughter.

Bruce: Thank you, Hanru. Holly, you still there?

Holly: You're on speaker, dad.

Bruce: I want you to know I love you. You are the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. Without you, my life has no meaning. Please, stay strong. Survive.

LJ: (Hangs up the phone) Sorry, It was getting too emotional.

Mimi: What do you know about emotion? You're a cold and heartless jerk.

LJ: (Angry) You know nothing about me, Mimi. You know nothing of my personality or my past!

Mimi: Your personality is being a killer. As for your past: Your parents probably abandoned and left you on some corner as a baby. With a child as ugly and messed up as you, I would of done the same thing.

LJ: (Calms down) You know. My parents did their best to raise me.

Mimi: Well they obviously failed.

LJ: I lost both of them when I was only 12. Some birthday that was. I'll never forget it. The smell of frosting lingered through the car. My father was driving. My parents and I were singing Radar Love together. It was the most fun we had together in awhile. We were having so much fun. My father, was about to drive through a red light. But silly me, I didn't think to tell him. Instead I wanted to show my dad one of the cards I made for him. I was thanking him for being there for me. For being my father and providing me a birthday. But when he turned around to get the card, a diesel hit us from the side. I could never get over the fact, that both my parents died because of my selfish act. I felt so bad. I couldn't even find it in myself to go to their funerals. I just left state and traveled. Until I got here. You know I had a child of my own.

Lawrence: What? Since when, LJ?

LJ: It was awhile ago. I had a child with Meukie.

Holly: What? You're the father of Meukie's lost child?

LJ: It's possible. See, at the time, Meukie was with 2 different guys at the same time. She never knew who the father was, but she always assumed it was me. After we lost our child, we just pretended like we never had one. I remember her calling me. She told me she was in labor. I used my computer skills to track her phone and find her location. By the time I got there, a man was running with the baby in his arms. I chased him down. And I caught him. He cut me on the top of my eye. That's where I got this small scar from. It's really small, you can hardly see it. But when I caught him, I tackled him down. He dropped the baby and I was able to see what gender it was. It was a girl. Then he kicked me in the face and ran off with the baby. The other father showed up a few minute later, after I called him. The other man Meukie was sleeping with.

Lee: Wow. I'm sorry you had to go through that.

LJ: Yeah well, life goes on... For most people anyway, but not me. I still think about her everyday. Even If she's not my biological child, my love for her will stay unchanged. I feel her. She's so close to me. She's in my heart.

Holly: (Whispers to self) Mamimi said she was adopted. Could she be his child?

[Police station]

(Lieutenant Jennifer Lin walks up the Leo, Justin, Ada.)

Jennifer: Sazuki.

Leo: Lieutenant.

Jennifer: Alec Greene has just agreed to tell us where his partners are. You up for questioning?

Justin: (Says to Leo) That's pretty sweet, yo.

Leo: Thank you, Lieutenant.

(Jennifer walks away.)

Ada: Don't do anything you would normally do, Leo. I won't be able to keep my eyes on you. (Winks at Leo)

Leo: (Chuckles) Right.

Justin: Hey, did you guys see Mamimi when you went to the restroom?

Ada: Come to think of it... No.

Justin: Why don't we go find her then? I'll push you around.

Ada: Thanks, Justin.

Justin: Good luck to you, Leo.

Leo: Thanks.

(Captain Maurice walks up to Justin)

Maurice: Hargrove, your assistants is needed.

(In Hanru's home, everyone still has their hands tied behind their backs.)

LJ: I know it must be difficult sitting here with nothing to do.

Mimi: You could let us go.

LJ: I have a better idea. How about no?

(Mimi rolls her eyes.)

Lee: How about we play a game? We can play I spy.

Mimi: I think that's a kid's game.

Lee: What's wrong with being reminded of a simpler time with a friendly game?

Mimi: Nothing, it's just...

Lee: What, Mimi?

Mimi: You all don't seem to be afraid of this guy. Especially you, Hanru! I don't trust this guy! He could kill us at any moment!

Hanru: I've seen into the eyes of many killers. I know he's not one.

Mimi: How could you be so sure?

Hanru: I just know.

LJ: So you've seen into the eyes of a true killer?

Hanru: I don't know if any of them were true killers. But they were killers.

Holly: You never told me anything about that, Hanru.

[Police station]

(Justin walks into Erika's office and closes the door. The only light in there is coming from the computer that Erika's using. Erika sees Justin and she exits out what she was doing on her computer. She turns around in her chair and looks at Justin.)

Justin: Why are you still here; I thought you left?

Erika: No. No, I'm still here.

Justin: So whatcha doin' all alone?

Erika: Look, I don't want to talk to you, please leave.

Justin: What is it with you? You use to be a happy person. Now you're just plain miserable.

Erika: Has it ever crossed your mind that maybe I want to be miserable?

Justin: Who would want to be miserable?

Erika: Look, you just started working here, Justin. I wouldn't expect you to understand the kind of stress this job puts on me.

Justin: You're obviously lying, Erika.

Erika: So?

Justin: Just... Let me help you.

Erika: Why is everyone trying to help me?! I don't want anyone's help and I don't need it! Just leave me alone, Justin.

Justin: Fine. It's your loss. (Leaves Erika's office and walks out the door)

Maurice: What happened?

Justin: Sorry, captain, but I can't help her. I don't think anyone can.

Maurice: She'll be alright.

Justin: Right so I need to get back to Ada.

(Hanru's home)

(Holly's cell phone is ringing on the coffee table in the middle of the living room.)

Holly: It's my dad. Please let me talk to him.

LJ: You can let him know you're alright, but that's it.

Holly: Thank you. (LJ answers the phone and puts it on speaker.) Hi, dad!

Tsuki: Holly! Are you alright?!

Holly: Tsuki! I'm fine. Everything's good on my end. My wrists are hurting a bit, but that's it.

Tsuki: You're tough; you can handle it.

(Both laugh. LJ stares at Holly with a serious look. Her smile goes away.)

Holly: So where's dad?

Tsuki: He's in his room right now. He's really upset. Do you want to talk to him?

Holly: Uh... No. No, just tell him I love him and I'm alright.

Tsuki: I love you, Holly. Stay strong.

Holly: I will.

LJ: (Hangs up the phone) Your sister, huh?

Holly: Yeah, we're complete opposites, yet we always get along.

LJ: (Nods) How fun. I have a sister. She's cool. Well, when I communicated with her she was. My brother was too.

Lawrence: We use to be friends, LJ. Why was I never told of this?

LJ: It wasn't important at the time.

Lawrence: I see.

LJ; Hey, why don't you tell everyone about how you joined the killers group?

Lawrence: I guess this is story time. Maybe I will. What's your story, Holly? Tell us about your sister. Your smokin' hot sister.

Lee: You know what's strange? Holly's the cute sister and Tsuki's the hot sister. And of course their dad is the tough guy. It's amazing how different your family is from each other.

Holly: Yeah it is... My big sister can be pretty mean at times, but if you stay on her good side she won't be as mean.

LJ: So your sister's basically mean to everyone?

Holly: Pretty much.

LJ: I'll keep that in mind if I ever decide to meet her.

Hanru: Hey, LJ, do you mind if I go use the restroom?

LJ: Can you use it with your hands tied behind your back?

Hanru: Probably not.

LJ: Well why don't you try? If you can't do it, come back down and I'll help you out.

Hanru: I don't think I want any help. Especially from you.

LJ: I mean I'll help you learn how to use it with your hands tied behind your back.

Hanru: Oh. Okay then.

(Hanru gets up and walks upstairs to the restroom.)

LJ: So, Lawrence, are you gonna share your story with us? Tell everyone about the day you joined the killer's group.

Lawrence: There's not much to tell. I mistakenly witnessed one of them murdering someone and they gave me a choice to join them or die.

LJ: Why would they question you? Usually they would just kill anybody who witnessed a killing.

Lawrence: They gave you a choice.

LJ: They needed a computer guy to help them find information about their targets. Before, they use to just stalk to get Intel. They found me and decided to hire me.

Lawrence: Alright. I guess it's only fair I tell you my true story. Jason broke into my house one day and asked me if I wanted to join his group. I never figured out why he gave me a choice or why he asked me to join without knowing if I had any talents. I asked him, and he just doesn't tell me. That's about it. Does anyone else want to tell a story?

(Hospital)

Meukie: It's nice to meet my new doctor.

Peter: Yeah well, you don't worry about a thing. I'll be sure to take good care of you. I've noticed that your gunshot wound hasn't been reported. We should do something about that.

Meukie: Whoa, wait a minute. What do you mean reported?

Peter: All gunshot wounds have to be reported to the authorities.

Meukie: What? No, no, no, no. You cannot tell the police.

Peter: Relax. I know about the cop that told the other doctor to kill you. I won't let him get to you. I think it's wrong what he did. He will pay. I'm gonna go take care of this now. You just hang tight. Oh I forgot, you're a prostitute you can't be tight.

Meukie: (Fake smiles) Haven't heard that one in awhile.

Peter: (Both laugh) I'll be right back.

(Peter walks out of the room and Meukie gets out of bed right away.)

Meukie: Jerk.

(Meukie quickly takes all hospital equipment off and leaves out the window in her room. She then runs away in pain.)

(Hanru's home)

(Everyone has been freed from their handcuffs. They are all stretching in the living room.)

Holly: It feels so good to stretch my legs.

Lawrence: I heard that.

LJ: Just because I took your handcuffs off, that doesn't mean you're free. I still have a gun in my hand and I'm not afraid to use it.

Lawrence: I honestly don't think you have it in you, LJ.

LJ: You're right. I don't have it in me. But If any of you try to escape, I will shot you. But not to kill you; Just to injure you for a short while.

Mimi: That sounds reasonable.

(Someone begins to bang on the front door and yell.)

Lawrence: Who is that?

Lee: I'd recognize that voice anywhere. That's my grandma.

LJ: Ming Lee?

Lee: Wait, how do you know my grandmother?

(Moments later, Ming Lee is sitting down on the couch. Everyone is sitting in silence waiting for something to happen. They are all drinking tea.)

Hanru: So... May I ask how the two of you know each other?

Ming Lee: (Says happily with a big smile on her face) Why, I was the one who trained his group, dear.

Hanru: Really?

Ming Lee: Jason and his group requested training from me. I've been training them since they were 5. Or was it 3, I can't remember…

Lawrence: Jason must have told you about me. When I witnessed the killing. You told him to give me a choice, because you cared about me.

Ming Lee: This is true. I apologize for concealing my true identity. But it was important that I did. You understand.

Lawrence: Yeah. Yeah, I understand.

Ming Lee: I must also have a word with you, Hanru. You wish to solve murder cases, correct?

Hanru: Yes. I was trying to deny it in the beginning, but I just can't anymore. I want to solve cases, but I don't want to be a detective. I like the system that I have: Just me and my friends.

Ming Lee: You feel it is your destiny?

Hanru: I think so. But I'm not exactly sure.

Ming Lee: Fate will allow you to do this. But it seems you have been chosen to break this cycle. You have been chosen to stop the killers.

Hanru: I'm just a kid. How am I suppose to stop killers?

Ming Lee: You have come very close to succeeding. Think about what has happened. If it wasn't for you, they would still be taking lives. Jason was fascinated that a child figured out he was a killer. It wasn't an officer; it was a child. This is why he decided to play a detective game with you. This is why he revealed information to you. If you were not a child, he would have killed you and continued doing his work.

Hanru: So if it wasn't for me, they would all still be out there killing? This isn't right.

Ming Lee: But it is, child. Before you can fulfill your destiny, you must first go through trials. You must be tested, so that destiny knows if you are ready. Everything you have been through so far will not always happen. You will solve regular cases. You will no longer get involve into things this big.

Hanru: Really?

Ming Lee: Well... Maybe. I do not posses knowledge of your future. Maybe you will. But if you do, it will be much different. We are rarely given the same obstacles twice, after we have conquered it the first time. We sometimes must go through it again because of other obstacles we go through which change us.

Hanru: I understand. I must learn to progress through my trials in life. I must never forget what I have learned. I must be prepared for all obstacles that come my way.

Ming Lee: You are ready.

Hanru: I am ready. But what am I suppose to do now?

Ming Lee: That is knowledge only you poses.

LJ: So I guess that's it for me. I don't want to be with them anymore. I want to change. I quit. I'm not working with the killers anymore.

Lawrence: Same here, brother. (Both shake hands)

Ming Lee: So. You all must help Hanru stop these killers. He cannot do this alone.

LJ: Alright. I'll help you out, but remember; I'm not one of your buddies. We only contact each other when we need each other's help.

Hanru: Deal (Both shake hands)

Holly: Hanru? (Walks up to Hanru) I'm sorry. I really am.

Hanru: I know; you're afraid to say it.

Holly: What?

Hanru: I can see it in your eyes. You are not happy with me. I know this isn't the right place for this, but it must end here. What I am about to do is life-threatening. What I do is dangerous. I deal with killers, Holly. I don't want them to go after you. I think we should take a break.

Holly: You mean break up?

Hanru: Only for a few months.

Holly: Maybe we should just completely break up, Hanru. If it's meant to be, we'll be together again.

Hanru: Right. I understand. LJ. I need a personal favor from you. I need your help in clearing Holly's name. The police are still after her.

LJ: I can do that. You should get to your father now, Holly.

Holly: Goodbye, Hanru.

Hanru: Goodbye... Holly. (Holly depressingly walks out the front door.)

LJ: I can help her out no problem.

(Sarah walks downstairs.)

LJ: Where have you been all this time?

Sarah: I was just lying in the bedroom upstairs. I must have fell asleep. Oh hey, Ming. Its been awhile.

Ming: So how is your training?

Sarah: Well you trained all of us in martial arts and survival. I haven't been practicing much.

Ming: Shame on you. (Laughs)

Lee: Wait, so you didn't train Jason's group to kill; you trained them to fight.

Ming: That's correct.

Hanru: Well, hey. We have to work together and be on our toes for Natasha. I'm gonna need everyone's help this time.

Lawrence: Hey, count me out. I just stopped by to get some clothes and I ended up getting involved with LJ's kidnapping.

Hanru: Wait, where are you going?

Lawrence: I guess I forgot to tell you. I'm moving in with Israel.

LJ: You must have a thing for blondes.

Lawrence: I do, but nothing romantic is happening between us right now.

Sarah: Are you kidding? It's like romance city when the two of you are in the same room.

Lawrence: Romance city?

Sarah: I couldn't think of anything clever to say.

Lawrence: Right.

LJ: So what's next for you, Sarah?

Sarah: After this thing with Natasha's over, I'm moving out of the state with Johnny. I'll have to change my name again though.

Hanru: I hope you're all ready. Natasha's evil ways will soon come to an end. We just have to work together.

Mimi: It looks like the rain has stopped.

Hanru: And a brand new day starts.

Sarah: You sounded kinda corny there.

TO BE CONTINUED...
