You Implied That You Would Wait For Me Chapter 18

The rest of our trip was a little awkward.
Avery and I did break up that night and she was really upset about it. Once we were home we changed our Facebook statuses and I told my parents the news. They made me my favorite meal for dinner to help cheer me up.
But I wasn’t sad. I was more so a little relieved. I could finally be with Sadie.
The day before school started I drove to her house. I grabbed Graces radio and blasted “Girl Worth Fighting For” from Mulan. It was Sadie’s favorite song from her favorite movie.
Sadie opened her front door and smiled at me. “What are you doing?”
“I’m asking you to be my girlfriend in the cheesiest way possible,” I said turning down the radio.
“Really?”
“So what do you say?”
Sadie smiled and nodded her head.
I grinned and paused the music.
“Is there a lawnmower or something?”
I laughed, “No”.
“Lame!” she said walking over to me. I smiled and put the radio next to my car. We linked arms and walked do the sidewalk.
“So…how was your break?” I asked.
“This was the highlight of it,” Sadie said making a face.
I laughed and kissed her cheek.
“I told you I kept my promise,” I said smiling.
Sadie rolled her eyes and smiled.

The End!
