You Implied That You Would Wait for Me

You Implied That You Would Wait For Me Chapter 7

That was Sadie Freedman.
My Sadie.
The first girl I ever loved, the first girl I ever kissed, the first girl I ever held in my arms, the first girl who’s hand I held.
She was my first girl for a lot of things.
I can’t believe it’s her.
She looks so different.
She looked over at me and smiled slightly. She knew didn’t she.
I sighed and tried not to think about it.
I looked over at Avery and smiled at her. I kissed her cheek and she blushed.
*****
The day went by quickly.
I kept my distance from Sadie and hung out with Avery as much as I could.
I was in Spanish class sitting next to Sadie.
I didn’t look at her or talk to her today. I just tried to listen to our teacher and take notes.
“Hey, are you okay?” she whispered.
I nodded my head not looking up.
“Jared, look at me,”
I looked up slowly and sighed. “What?” I asked.
“You tell me you seem distant or something,”
“I’m fine, really,”
“No your not,”
“I don’t want to talk right now,”
“Mr. Williams and Ms. Freedman, how about you two go out into the hallway and finish you conversation there,” said out teacher.
I picked up my stuff and left the class room and Sadie followed me.
I walked to my locker. I heard Sadie follow me.
“Jared, tell me what’s going on,”
“You, you know this whole time who I was and you said nothing,”
“You remember me?”
“I do, how could I forget you? I waited for you for five years. When my parents told me that you weren’t coming back, I forced myself to move on. Why didn’t you come?”
“I tried, my parents like to travel the world, once we’ve been to a place we’ve seen it, we’re done with it. They didn’t want to got back,”
“You broke your promise,”
“What promise was that?”
“You said that you’ll wait for me,”
“I never said that,”
“You implied it,”
“I said maybe,”
“Which implies it,”
“You broke your promise too,”
“What promise did I break?”
“You said that you will always love me and never forget me,”
“I do love you, Sadie and I didn’t recognize you. I’m not the bad guy here. You broke that promise too,”
“I saw you and got scared,”
“Scared of what?”
“I can’t do this now,”
“No, you will do this now,”
“Jared, not today,”
“Then when another nine years,”
“Jared, your over reacting, we were kids when we said that. We didn’t know what love was or what we were talking about,”
“I did, I meant every word I said to you,”
“Six years ago,”
“Nine years,”
“Wow, time flies,”
“Sadie, what are you trying to say?”
“I’m saying that I’m not the little girl you meet nine years ago, I’ve changed and so have you. We might have loved each other then but now, we’re don’t we like different people and things aren’t the same,”
“I don’t believe that,”
“I do, goodbye Jared,” she said walking away.
“So, what? Your breaking up with me?”
“We were never going out,”
“That’s worse, your not even getting us a chance,”
Sadie walked away leaving me there with a hole in my heart.
I punched the locker near by and slumped down on the ground.
I ran my hand through my hair as I tried not to cry.
I rest my head as I cried silent tears.

Avery’s Point Of View

I watched the whole scene as it happened.
I was on my way to the nurse with my stuff, I a huge headache.
I watched Jared cry on the floor.
How stupid of me to think that a guy like Jared would like a girl like me.
Getting all dressed up for him, I felt so stupid.
Tomorrow I was going to bring back the real Avery, if he likes it or not.
I walked to the nurse and on my way there my cell phone buzzed.
I opened it. it was a text from Jared.
‘Hey, want to go somewhere’
‘Go where’ I replayed back.
A few minutes later he said. ‘I don’t know, anywhere’
‘Okay’ I said. I figured he could use the cheering up again.
‘Great, meet me by my car’
‘sure’ I said and walked to his car.

Jared’s Point Of View

I was already by my car waiting for Avery.
She walked over to me and I smiled. “Hey my brown eyed girl,”
“Hi,” she giggled.
I opened her door for her and she got in. I hurried to my side of the car and drove somewhere far away.
We came a cross a clearing like place.
I parked my car and we sat on the hood of it.
I had my arm around Avery as we talked and walked the clouds slowly go by.
Avery always knows how to make me smile.
I kissed her on her lips softly. She smiled and kissed me back.
Our lips seemed to move faster.
I pulled her onto my lap and ran my fingers through her hair.
Avery wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled my closer to her.
Then she moved her hands down my chest.
I took my shirt off and kissed her again.
Avery’s hands lingered on my chest as we kissed.
My phone buzzed in my pocket.
Avery pulled away. “You should get that,”
“They’ll leave a message,” I said capturing her lips again.
She kissed back, replacing her hands on my chest.
I unbuttoned her shirt slowly and my phone rang again.
Avery pulled away. “Answer it,”
“Fine,” I said rolling my eyes. “Hello?”
“Where are you? I’ve been waiting here for ten minutes!”
“Grace, calm down, I’ll be there in a few minutes,”
“You better and I’m so telling mom you forgot about me,”
“Don’t you dare,”
“Or what?”
“Bad things,”
“Whatever, do the dishes for a me for a week and I won’t tell,”
“Deal,”
“Hurry!”
“I coming,” I said closing the phone.
I looked at Avery who was starting at my shirtless body.
“Like it?” I asked.
She blushed. “Um,”
I chuckled and kissed her. “We have to get Grace,”
“Oh, I forgot about her,” she said hurrying inside the car.
I sighed and pulled on my shirt and hopped inside the car.
Little more than twenty minutes later we picked up Grace.
“About time!” she snapped.
“Hey, I can leave you here,”
“Thanks for showing up an hour late. Hey Avery,”
I rolled my eyes and drove Grace home.
I then drove Avery home and kissed her good bye.
****
I was getting ready for the Freedmans.
I was all dressed up like I was going to a wedding or something.
Grace helped my tie my tie and I helped her tie her bow be hind her dress.
The dinner was ready and everything.
I stayed in my room until there was a knock on the door.
My heart raced.
The front door opened a chatter filled the room.
I slowly made my way down stairs.
“Where is Jared?” asked Mrs. Freedman. “I meet he looked even cuter now,”
“He should be down soon,” my mom said as I walked down stairs.
I headed into the living room and smiled.
