The Bottom of the Bottle

This is my entry for the Emotions Contest run by Hot.Mess.

This is a three-shot. It features Matthew, 19, a recovering alcoholic. He does a lot of things he regrets; he hurts the people he loves. He comes to his senses and goes to AA. He works for a year on his sobriety, until he reaches the 8th Step. Then, with the wisdom from his sponser, he sets out to make ammends for his wrongdoings.

WARNING: VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED.

Note: I am not implying that AA is for everyone. There are many people who work on sobriety through other programs, or alone. However, I have more knowledge about AA than the other options. So, AA is a part of the story. I have no rights to the Group; I am of no affiliation. If you or a loved one seek help, please visit aa.org. Thank you.

ALSO: The story is slightly inspired by the song "Remembering Sunday" by All Time Low. The lyrics are featured. They are quoted. I do not own the rights to them. In addition, this is in no way an All Time Low fanfiction. The lyrics just fits the plot well.
