Who Do I Want? What Do I Need?

Alexs POV

"So how long have you guys been living in Maryland?" Jack's Mom asks. "Since late summer, early fall. So about three, four months. How long have you been living here?" my mom said.
"We've lived in the US for twenty years. We've lived in Maryland for about four." Jacks Mom said. "We moved from England because of my job transfer. Alex has made some friends fast." My dad said. "So Alex," Jack's Dad started "How many classes do you have with Jack?" "Three, chemistry, gym and free period." The wind started to blow and the snow started to fall fast. "We better finish up before a storm comes." My Mom said. We finish up with more small talk. Then we split half of the check. As everybody started to walk out to the cars "Mom?" I asked, "Can I talk to Jack for a minute?" "Sure." Jack's mom turns around. "Sure, we'll pull up front." Jack and I walk outside hand in hand waiting for our parents to pull up. "Don't open your present till tomorrow. Okay?" "Yeah, anything for you." I pull him in for a kiss. "Merry Christmas Jack." I say with a smile. "Merry Christmas Alex." Jack said with a grin. Both of the cars pull up. We give each other a hug and climb into our cars. "I like him." My mom said. "I do too."
