I'm Not Your Typical Teen

I've Been Emancipated.

Just what the title says. It's the real thing and actually quite hard. Two months now and I will no longer be a child. So far it already feels that way. I don't go to school, I work my ass off at a lousy medium wage job and I'm only 17. I take care of myself. I bought the food on my table, I pay for the roof over my head and I pay for the clothing on my back.

It's as simple as that. I work, and I work for the settlement of being free. Not being told what to do anymore. I like being free, but for the price I pay for freedom is much worse. I wish I could just quit and be a kid again. According to the law, I can't. Being emancipated legally has gain my gratitude for my parents and what they must of sacrificed to raise me. I thank them so much. They surely have my respect in all aspects of life, for life.
