Got a Secret. Can you keep it?
Mom picks up Destiny from her playpen.
"Did you feed her?"
"Yeah, mom I gotta question."
"Yeah honey, whats up?"
"Can I skip school today to hang out with Dylan? We wanted to celebrate our 9 months anniversary." She just stares at me for a couple of seconds. Then she motions for me to go into the kitchen with her. I obey her hands, and walk into the kitchen.
"Take this." She pulls out a brown paper bag from her handbag on the counter. I grab the bag and see a year supply of birth control.
"Really?" I ask.
"Don't argue, just take it. Oh, yes you can stay home, but only for today." She wrapped her arms around me. "I love you and I'm only trying to do whats best for you."
"I know mom, I love you too." She cares about me so much. How can I keep this secret from her. My dad is being so unfaithful to her, and I'm not doing anything about it.Which would hurt her more: keep it a secret and lie to her or come out and tell her?
