The Scarlett Proposal

SCARLETT'S POV:

"What?" I asked Caleb. "This is just a park."

"I know." he said simply.

"You wanted to show me the park?"

"No."

"Then what?"

"This. Scarlett, I know no girl wants to be forced to marry someone and I know you didn't want it either. I don't want you marry me just because you were forced, I want you to accept me by yourself."

Caleb bent down on one knee and held out my ring.

"Will you marry me, Scarlett?" he asked.

I was in tears.

"Wait, why are you crying?"

"Oh, I will! I will marry you! I love you." I said.

Caleb slipped the ring on my finger and I pulled him into a hug. I heard people clapping and felt Caleb lift me up. He kissed me and I kissed him back. We spent the whole day out. We talked, kissed, went more sight seeing, kissed some more. When I finally went home it was all dark.

"I can't wait till we're married." Caleb said.

"Me too."

"I'll make all your dreams come true."

"That's so cheesy."

"I know."

Caleb kissed my forehead and I sighed.

"I'll see ya tomorrow." I said.

"Yeah. But, I don't feel like leaving you."

"Me neither."

"I'll miss you."

"Maybe this'll help."

I pressed my lips with Caleb's and gave him a long, passionate kiss.

"I love you." I told him.

"Me too and that really did help." he replied, grinning.

I went into the house and saw mom in the kitchen. I went inside to get a glass of water.

"You want dinner?" she asked.

"Nah, I ate." I told her.

"Scarlett, your wedding is in six days." she reminded me.

"I know, but don't worry, I want to get married to Caleb, I love him a lot."

"Oh, thank you, dear."

"You're welcome."

I went upstairs and up to my room, I put on my night clothes and went to sleep.
