“Don’t talk to me!” I said as Zane and I walked into the house.
He completely ignored all my questions about him being immortal.
Asshole!
“What happened?” my dad asked.
“He tripped me while we were skating,” I said bitterly.
“Zane,” he scolded.
“It was an accident but I did laugh…a lot,”
“Jerk,” I muttered.
“Are you okay?” my dad called.
“Just peachy,” I said slamming my bed room door.
Zane walked in and sat down on the bed. “Blake,”
“No, do not talk. I am your girl friend you should be able to trust me with any thing. I am here for you, no what who or what you are. And if you can’t see that, then we’re done,” I said.
I quickly changed out of my clothes and climbed into my bed.
I sighed and looked at Zane’s handsome face. “Last chance,”
He walked over to me and gave me a soft kiss on the lips. “I’m not human, okay, your right,”
“What are you?” I asked.
He kissed me again and leaned in my ear. “A vampire,”

The next morning I woke up in my bed with Zane’s arms wrapped around me.

I rang in my ears and ratted in my brain.
I looked over at Zane and smiled.
“Hey,” I said brushing his hair out of his face.
He smiled at me. “Morning,”
I gave him a kiss and cuddled next to him.
“So you’re a vampire?”
“You remember…”
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“It’s not something you tell someone,”
“But I knew all a long you weren’t human,”
“It’s not good that you know we existed,”
“Why?”
“Blake, this isn’t like Buffy the Vampire Slaver or Twilight. This is real life, it’s one thing if you know and it’s another thing if you know me,”
“What’s so bad about you?”
“I’m different…”
“Zane, talk to me,”
“I was hunting with my father in the woods when a vampire attacked us. My father was killed and I was bitten, I manage to get away. Before I knew it I was a vampire. I hide at home for years until they found me. I turns out that whoever bites you is your ‘master’. They will basically find you and force you to join they’re team. I didn’t. I didn’t want to kill people so I feed. The rest is history,”
“You need to tell me more,”
“like?”
“Everything,”
“Okay. I only drink animal blood and I can drink human food but I get really bad stomach pains. My eyes do change colors to show if I’m hungry for blood or not. I can smell humans and vampires. In the sun I’m translucent. I’m fast and I’m strong and don’t take any pictures with me, I won’t show up and same thing with mirrors,”
“What about your master?”
“Still looking for me,”
“How old are you?”
“17, I’ve been seventeen for thirteen years,”
“Wow,”
“Anything else?”
“What kills you?”
“If a vampire bites me I’m gone,”
“Wow. Have they found you yet?”
“Kind of…”
“Are you safe?”
“For now, I wasn’t planning on staying here…”
“Sorry,”
“You did nothing,” he kissed me.
“Okay…”
“Anything else?”
“Any special powers? Edward can read minds,”
“That’s bullshit. We suck blood and have super human abilities, we don’t become physics,”
I laughed. “Okay. Are you sure your safe?”
“I’m fine,” Zane kissed me and held me close.
“So, could I become a vampire?”
“No!”
“Why? It would be nice to live forever,”
“Then burn in the pits of hell?”
“It’s not like I believe in a God or anything. I’m already screwed,”
“Blake, please, just stay human,”
“Fine…”
“Thank you,” he said hugging me.
“Hungry?” I asked.
“For you I’ll have some eggs,”
I smiled. “Okay,”.
We both got out of bed and went to the kitchen.
