A Spark of Hope

This story tells the tale of two teenagers, a blind boy and an aggressive girl, who struggle to survive in a post-apocalyptic world devastated by a disaster they only refer to as the "Lights". Most of humanity is gone, with only small traces remaining. The majority of people left are barbaric scavengers who sometimes resort to cannibalism to survive. As they struggle to live, the two form an unbreakable bond of friendship and love that is extremely rare under such conditions.
  1. Prelude
    A short narration by the protagonist of the story.
  2. Chapter 1
    The two scavenge an abandoned mini-van in a scene introducing the characters.
  3. Chapter 2
    Sydney and Evan converse while hiding in a shack at night.
  4. Chapter 3
    Sid and Evan hunt in a burnt forest, and encounter a disturbing sight.
  5. Chapter 4
    Sydney flashes back to another memory.
  6. Chapter 5
    Sydney and Evan deal with their situation with the two men.
  7. Chapter 6
    Evan learns something about the man who tried to kill him.
