Charlotte Montgomery and Damon Salvatore were in love. Damon's younger brother Stefan and Charlotte were best friends. Everything seemed perfect. Then one day in 1864 Katherine Pierce arrived in Mystic Falls, Virginia and steals Damon AND Stefan's hearts. But what about Charlotte? What happens to her?
