Is There a Place Left There for Me, Somewhere Where I Belong?

Chapter 5

Trinity's POV
"Wake up!" squealed a high and irritating voice. Trinity opened her eyes groggily and slowly rose to her paws.
"Urgh... What do you want?" Trinity mumbled, staring at a large black nose. Realization dawned on Trin, as she realized it was Brook. "Brook! I need my space!" Trin snarled, nudging Brook back with her nose. Brook sniffled,
"Geez, if you're gonna act that way, then you might as well leave the pack!" Trin was stunned, if Brook was really saying what she felt, then no doubt, the rest of the pack could feel that way too. Trin remembered the awkwards hunting experience the previous day and closed her eyes. "Now come on," Brook beckoned, "I have to take you and Gwen out hunting." Trin nodded and followed Brook, until she stopped by the Animati Lake. Travis, who was about to step in, called,
"Hey guys, Valerie told me to get you. We're going to bathe in the lake. It's a full moon remember?" Trin exchanged curious glances with Gwen, but stepped in the lake nonetheless. As Trin stepped in, she realized that the lake really was carved by some fearsome beast, as the floor was rocky and painful to step on. The water itself was blood red at the moment, matching the color of the sun, which had almost completley dissapeared. It contrasted with the night sky, which was indigo tinted with black.
"Trin..." Gwendolyn murmered, "What's happening to Valerie?" Trin turned her head to see Valerie, her head pointed to the moon, which had just appeared, half-hidden by a cloud.
"A...Vision..." Travis breathed. Trin was shocked,
"But she told me she didn't have visions anymore!" Travis nodded,
"This is a first ever since the strays came. What was that... A year ago?" Trin was still amazed as Valerie's eyes rolled back, exposing the whites. Valerie's jaw also opened, her red tounge spilling out. Gwen whimpered, as she, nor Trin, had ever felt such heavenly aura in the air. The vision lasted for about five minutes, until Valerie completley relaxed, and her head eased back comfortabley.
"What did you see?" Soren demanded, running up to Valerie. She looked uncomfortable, and announced,
"Everyone, come with me! There's something shocking I have to tell you." The lone pack murmered amongt themselves, as they followed Valerie to the center of the territory. "Trinity and Gwendolyn... Why exactly did they destroy your pack?" Trinity squirmed, she had been avoiding this question, but she answered,
"They were looking for us."
"What exactly did they say?" Valerie questioned, she looked expectant, as if she already knew the answer, but wanted to hear it for herself. Trin paused, and Gwen answered for her, quietly muttering,
"He was looking for wolves with violet and mismatched eyes." Valerie nodded,
"Exactly! And you wanna know why?" She continued before anyone could answer, "Because you two are going to bring back the sacred Animati!" Trin and Gwen gawked,
"But how?" Trin squeaked, her mouth hanging open.
"You're going to find them," Valerie announced, "But it's not going to be easy. The heaven's tell me, that during the journey, one of your pack will die." Trin and Gwen knew they were the only of their pack who survived. Trin wondered, who was going to die? Trin... Or her?
