Ch. 6
~~~~ Two Weeks Later ~~~~
“You okay Auden?”
My head shot up at the sound of James talking to me.
“Huh?”
“You okay Auden?”
“Oh uh yeah”
“You sure? ‘Cause you were leaning you head on your desk and holding your stomach”
“Oh I’m just a little bleh today. Stomach hurts”
“That’s been happening a lot lately. Have you gone to the doctors?”
“Of course I have!”
“Okay I’m sorry just wanted to make sure”
“Thanks James”
“Anytime. Oh boss wants to see you at two”
“Thanks”
I looked at my clock.
It was 11am.
“Ugh”

“Good news Mr. Samuels”
“Yes?”
“In three weeks the company is coming to Sydney again for two weeks”
“Really?”
“Yes and more than likely Auden will be there with her company”
“Will you know for sure?”
“Yes I will soon. Hopefully in a week or two”
“But before they come right?”
“Yes. Absolutely”
“Thank-you so much Mr. Dishbaan”
“You’re welcome Mr. Samuels”

At exactly 2 am I walked into my boss, Mr. Richard Elsman’s office. Thankfully my morning sickness was gone by now but I was wearing a looser top I had bought over a month ago. But the top was already getting tighter due to my baby bump deciding to grow suddenly.
“You wanted to see me sir?”
“Yes I did Auden have a seat”
I sat down on crossed my legs praying he hadn’t noticed my stomach.
“What do you need Mr. Elsman?”
“I need you to go out of town again”
“I just got back two days ago sir”
“You won’t be leaving for three weeks”
“Oh..where sir?”
“Sydney, Australia”
I felt vomit rise in my throat and my body stiffen.
“Again sir?”
“Yes Ms. Rose. We are finishing up our newest deal and you are the best we have”
I was silently doing math in my head. I was three and a half months now. In three weeks I would be four months and one week.
Plus…Xavier’s there.
“How long sir? The normal week at most?”
“No two weeks this time”
Oh Shit
“Same hotel too. Same has every last visit”
Double Shit. I could run into Xavier again and to explain the bump? Shit…Shit…
SHIT!!!!
“Are you okay Auden?”
I looked up at my boss and saw he looked concerned.
“Um…”
“Is everything okay Auden? You’ve been weird lately”
“Oh well…I’ve just been not feeling well lately”
Yeah because I’m pregnant with an Australian actor’s baby and going to Sydney won’t be good, because I’ll most likely run into him and be screwed with my growing stomach.
Not to mention flying at 4 and almost 5 months…
Wait…I’d be almost five months coming home…I can’t fly when 5 months…
“Shit”
“Excuse me Auden?”
Oh shit I said shit out loud
“Sorry sir…I just realized something. I won’t be able to fly home from Australia”
“And why not?”
“Because sir…I’ve just found out…I’m pregnant sir”
“Really now?”
“Yes. Almost four months to be exact. I found out late”
“Well well then. This changes things”
I took a deep breath.
Oh God
“We’ll just have to send the second best and you’ll take over near deals for now then. And you’ll get to travel again once you’re leave is up”
I released the breath I had been holding.
“Thank-you sir”
“You’re welcome and congratulations. We’ll sort out specifics later”
“Sounds good sir”
Once back at my desk I let out a deep sigh.
Another one down…one BIG one left…

“Iris!”
“Yeah Auden?”
“I have my ob-gyn appointment today at 4”
“Okay?”
“Can you come with me?”
Iris’s face lit up.
“Of course!”
Iris jumped up and hugged me.
“I’m SO excited I get to see my godchild!”
“Iris we’ve been through this!”
“Yes but I’m godmother if you keep it”
“Well duh!”

“Here you are Mr. Samuels”
“The total itinerary?”
“Yes”
“This is amazing. How did you get this?”
“I have my resources”
“This is great! Thank-you SO much Mr. Dishbaan!”
“My pleasure Mr. Samuels. I’ll let you know if anything else happens or comes up”
“Thank-you sir”
“You’re welcome”

“Hello again Ms. Rose and who is with you today?”
“The official godmother!”
I rolled my eyes.
“Iris”
“What?”
“You’ll have to excuse my best friend”
“It’s no problem honestly”
A few minutes later I was hearing my baby’s heartbeat.
Fast and strong.
Next to me Iris was close to crying.
“Everything looks good. There’s the head, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, an arm, and a leg”
“OMG Aud! You’ve created a life!”
I just rolled my eyes.
“No duh Sherlock”
Iris glared at me.
“Would you like to know the sex?”
“The what?”
“The sex of your baby”
“Really? You can tell?”
“Yes the baby is in the perfect position”
“…okay…”
“Congratulations you’re having a girl!”
“What?”
“Yep…see there? Nothing there, no penis. It’s a girl!”
“Wow”
“This is exciting Aud! I have a god daughter!”

~~~~ One Week Later ~~~~
Well this was weird. I was handing off all of my old Sydney papers and such to Abigail Smith who was taking over for me. That and everyone coming up to me and saying congratulations. Yeah that only made things harder on me. I was still iffy if I was going to keep the baby. The baby girl growing inside of me. Growing so fast that I was in need of newer clothes fast.
There was no denying it now, I was having a baby girl.
There was a baby inside of my stomach. A baby who’s Xavier Sam…
OMG!!!!
She just kicked me.
Full forced kicked me.
And she’s STILL kicking me. She won’t calm down.
I’m now on my bed trying to relax but she won’t stop.
“Will you stop if I keep you?”
…Silence…
OMG! She stopped. She wants me and only me…
I took a deep breath.
“I don’t know. You’d be better off with out me…OW!”
Kicking again!
“Alright fine,” I yelled while placing a hand on top of my stomach, “I guess I’ll keep you. I’m having a girl…”
Suddenly Iris poked her head into my room.
“You okay in here Aud?”
I sat up with some difficulty.
“Will you help me?”
“With what?”
“The baby. Will you help me take care of my little girl?”
“Of course!”
I started to cry.
“You’re keeping her!?”
“She won’t let me not. And I can’t give her up. I can’t give his baby up. I’m keeping her”
“YES!”
With that Iris came and tackled me.
“Now to tell the daddy!”
“NO!”
Iris sat up.
“Pardon me?”
“I’m not telling him”
“Come again?”
“I’m not telling Xavier Samuel I’m having his baby. I am NOT going to find and tell him. NOT happening!”
“You okay Auden?”
