All the Broken Pieces

I knew everyone was in mortal danger. There was nothing any of us could have done to stop this. Yet, I couldn’t help but feel calm. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest and the blood pumping through my vein. This was how it felt like to save them, to save him. Inside I knew this was the only way.

I never felt so alone.

So afraid.

Looking back though, I wouldn’t change a thing. I would never regret the events that took me here to La Push where I met him. To keep things that way, to keep him safe I would give my life.
