I'll Always Be Here For You

Third Grade

I sigh and nervously tap my pencil on my desk, staring at me paper in front of me, hoping the answers will magically appear. We're in the middle of the biggest test of the year, the final multiplications test. I look over to Ryan who is checking over his paper.

"Ryan." I whisper. He looks up at me questionably. I give him a desperate look and mouth the word 'Help' He smirks at me and mouths the word 'OK.' He looks up at The teacher who is currently sitting in his desk with his eyes closed,. He's sleeping. Typical. Ryan quietly takes out a piece of paper and scribbles something down. He passes me the paper

Which ones?

All of them He shakes his head and chuckles.

After school, I meet up with Ryan by the buses. He's standing with his back turned to me. I run up and tackle him, causing a few people to turn to stare at us

"Ryan, thanks so much for helping me out." He mumbles something I don't catch. I sit up a little to look into his eyes. "Whadya say Ry Ry?"

"I said I can't breathe." He manages out. I laugh and apologize. I roll off of him and stand up, pulling him up with me. Our bus pulls up and we climb on.

Yes, we ride the same bus, we actually live in the same neighborhood, in houses right next to each other, as a matter of fact. How lucky am I? I get to live right next to my best friend.

"Seriously Ryro, thanks. My mom would have gotten so mad if I failed another test." He smiles at me and grabs my hand. Now being in third grade, we thought nothing of it. We always held hands, even after our parents told us not to.

"You're welcome Brenny. You know I'll always be here for you." I smile back at him and squeeze his hand.

I know this is super short but like I said in the first chapter, they will all be short. I believe the next chapter will be a little longer though. =]
