A Letter To You

Dear Alex,
It took me about five minutes to figure out how to start this letter. It’s weird, because I’m not that close to you, but you’re not a total stranger to me. I guess I’m writing to you because I am absolutely head over heels for you. Every time I see you, my brain melts and I can’t think straight. It started in sophomore year, so this has been going on for three years or so.
I love the sound of your voice when you laugh or sing.
I shouldn’t be doing this, seeing as you may have a girlfriend. I don’t know. But I do know this – I only want to be friends with you, to get to know you.
The main reason why I actually have the guts to write this is because you’re in a different state. I won’t see you anymore, except for possible high school reunions, but by that time, we’ll both have forgotten each other. This is the main reason why. If I had wanted more, I would have spoken up years, months, weeks ago.
I’m not a girl of many words, so this is all I give.
