Love Knows No Boundaries

Stop It!

Koby held Ciera's hand as Blake and the other boys walked towards them.
"He knows I know," Koby whispered to Ciera.
"I know. He isn't happy," Ciera whispered back.
"Hey, freak!!" Blake yelled.
"Blake, back off," Koby said, glaring at him.
"Why? So your freak can go spread rumors?" Blake said, letting Ciera see a knife he had in his pocket.
"It's not a rumor," Koby said.
"How would you know? You weren't there, you little punk," Blake said.
"She wouldn't lie about this," Koby said.
Mike walked over to them and glared at Blake.
"You're filth," Mike said.
"Shut your mouth," Blake said.
"Why'd you do it? Why?" Koby asked Blake, blocking Ciera from the other boys.
"To prove she isn't untouchable. To prove to her she is still a little freak," Blake said, laughing. The other boys joined in.
"You're pathetic," Mike said to Blake.
Shut it," Blake said, shoving Mike into a locker.
"Stop it!!! Stop it!!!" Ciera yelled at Blake as he pulled out the knife.
Blake stabbed Mike in the arm. Mike punched him in the face.
"Please stop!" Ciera screamed as a teacher ran out of their room.
The teacher saw the knife and pulled Mike away from Blake.
"Young man, principal's office now," the teacher said.
Blake put the knife back in his pocket and walked towards the office.
"Ok, everyone needs to go to the office. Mike, go to the nurse first," the teacher said, walking towards the office.
Koby gripped Ciera's hand tightly, watching the other boys carefully.
"You should tell the principal," Koby whispered to Ciera.
"No," Ciera whispered back.
"Why not?" Koby asked.
"It'll make this worse," Ciera said, walking into the office.
Police officers were standing there, waiting.
"Seems this issue is over her," one officer said, pointing at Ciera.
"Come on," the other officer said to Ciera, walking towards the principal's door.
"I'm going with her," Koby said, still holding Ciera's hand.
"Son, you got to stay here," the first officer said.
"Please, just let him go with me," Ciera said, begging the officer.
Blake walked out with handcuffs on. They let him sit beside the other boys as Koby and Ciera headed into the principal's office.
"Ciera, come sit down. You too, Koby," the principal, Mr. Moore, said.
Ciera sat down just as Mike came in. His arm was bandaged where the cut was.
"Sit down, Mike. So, what happened?" Mr. Moore asked, looking at Ciera. "Did you cause this?"
"No!" Koby yelled.
"Hush, boy. I mean was the fight over her," Mr. Moore said.
"Yes," Ciera said.
"Tell him why, C," Mike said.
"No," Ciera said.
"C, tell him or I will," Koby said.
"No," Ciera said, tears streaming from her eyes.
"Blake and his friends out there raped her," Koby said.
"When?" Mr. Moore asked.
"About a week ago. After the big game," Koby said.
"Ciera," Mr. Moore said, "Is it true?"
"Yes," Ciera muttered.
"You three stay here. I need to talk to an officer," Mr. Moore said.
After Mr. Moore left, Ciera turned to Koby.
"Why? Why did you tell him?" Ciera asked, crying harder.
"Someone needed to know," Koby said.
"You okay, Mike?" Ciera asked.
"Yeah, C. I'm fine," Mike said, frowning.
"I saw the knife. I should've warned you," Ciera said.
"C, you really know how to blame yourself. It's fine. You didn't know he was going to stab me," Mike said.
