Getting Ready.
“Yes?” I asked reaching Storms room.
“Good news” She said turned her head and smiled at me.
“Tell me” I said sitting on top of Mckenna on the chair.
“Pete will be in town for our Family Reunion on Saturday so we can get some details then”
She smiled at me.
“Cool, yeah your cousin Allison was telling me about the Family Reunion and she invited
me” I said bouncing up and down on Mckenna, she was making grunting noises.
“Allison’s down stairs? WHAT?” She said screaming as she ran down stairs.
“Storm doesn’t pay attention much does she?” I asked. Mckenna laughed and shook her
head.
“She never does.”
It was Friday night and I had been sitting in my closet floor for hours trying to figure out something to wear. I quickly picked up my phone and dialed Mckenna’s number.
“Talk to my baby” She muttered into the phone.
“What are you wearing tomorrow?” I asked still gazing at my clothes.
“I haven’t thought of it yet. Is it suppose to be dressy?” I sighed.
“That’s what I’m trying to figure out. Fucking Stormy won’t answer her phone”
“Shit, let me three way Pete” She said. I waited as I heard her mess around on her phone
and press some buttons. I hear another ring.
“Olivia?”
“Yeah”
“Okay” She said making sure I was still there.
“MCKENNA!” Pete’s voice was loud and full of volume.
“Hey, Pete, Olivia’s on the line too.”
“Hey Olivia!” He said cutting off Mckenna.
“Hey” I greeted.
“How are you?” I laughed.
“Good thanks”
“That’s good!” He cheered.
“Hate to ruin your guys talk but Pete what are we suppose to wear to this thing tomorrow?”
“I don’t know, whatever you want” She growled .
“Pete your no help. Your sister won’t answer her phone. Are you in Maryland yet?”
“Yes”
“Okay well go ask your mom!” She dictated. We waited a minute of silence before Pete
came back to the phone.
“She said dress up but if you don’t want to just look nice” He said into the phone.
“Oh well what happened to ‘wear whatever?’” I teased.
“Watch it Rush” I could feel him smirk into the phone.
“Whatever I’m hanging up, thanks Pete, see you tomorrow. Mckenna see you in the
morning” I said pressing end on the phone. I looked in my closet and pulled out a yellow
dress.
“Needs leggings” I said to myself. I pulled out a pair of black leggings and put them both on
my bed. I grabbed my black pumps and threw them on my bed. I looked at the outfit and smiled to myself. My phone vibrated on the ground and I picked it up. Mckenna. I hit answer and put it up to my ear.
“Yes girlie?” I asked.
“Hey, I won’t get off work until late tonight so can you pick me out an outfit for tomorrow?”
She asked.
“Oh that things I do for you” I laughed.
“Thanks babe, I gotta go see you in the morning”
“Chow” I said throwing the phone on the bed. “here we go again” I grabbed my dark demin
jeans and my faded light pink dress. I grabbed matching light pink pumps with them and
threw them on my bed. I nodded at my own approval. I folded both of our outfits up and put
them on my dresser. I took a fast shower and crawled into bed. I was looking forward to
tomorrow.
“Olivia wakeup!” My eyes fluttered to see Mckenna standing in front of me.
“Your outfit it the pink faded one on my dresser” I said letting out a yawn and sitting up in my
bed. She walked over and grabbed it, laying it out on my bed.
“Oh my god Liv, this is adorable!” She squealed. She stripped and put on the dress,
following the pants and then the pumps. She looked in my mirror and smiled. “I hate how
you can match clothes so well” She stated.
“You look hot” I winked. I got up and turned on my curling iron and brushed my teeth before
attending my makeup. I put on top liquid eyeliner, and heavy mascara. My long black hair
was soon curly after ten minutes of curling it. I grabbed my outfit and threw it on not putting
on my shoes yet. I walked over to my jewelry box and grabbed out two necklaces, my
rhinestone dog tag from D&G and my silver Tiffany’s necklace. I threw the Tiffany’s necklace at Mckenna and put on my dog tag one. I finally slip on my pumps and looked into the mirror.
“OLIVIA!” Mckenna screamed at me.
“What?” I asked.
“Your fourteen years old there’s no way you should be able to look that bang able!” I smiled at her and rolled my eyes. “I hate how you can look so much older” I pushed her shoulder and grabbed my purse.
“Ready to go?” I said looking over at the clock. She nodded.
“Let’s” She added.
