Love Will Never Ever Let Us Fall Apart

I Hear Your Heart Beating Right In Time

I rolled over after we rested a little bit and looked at the clock.

"Bee, are you hungry? It's almost time for lunch," I told her.

"Yes, I'm starving!" She responded.

I chuckled at her and sat up on the bed and started to put my clothes back on.

I looked over my shoulder back at Beth and caught her watching me. I smirked at the thought of her checking me out.

"You should take a picture. It'll last longer, sweetheart," I said winking at her.

"Oh, shut up!" She laughed.

Her hair was messed up and she had only a sheet clinging to her naked body as she threw a pillow at me playfully.

I leaned over to her and gave her a sweet kiss.

"Forgive me?" I asked pouting a little bit.

"Of course," she grinned.

"Good because you're stuck with me for life, doll!" I exclaimed.

"I wouldn't want to be with anyone else," she beamed.

Soon she started to gather her clothes and get dressed too.

We walked out to the kitchen and started eating leftovers together.

"So the ring is going to be ready today. Wanna come with me to pick it up?" I asked nervously.

"Definitely!" She replied.

"Okay, well I don't know if you'll like it or not so-"

"John, I get to spend the rest of my life with you. The ring is just a bonus. Don't worry about it," she told me.

"Okay," I nodded, a smile playing on my lips.

We ate the rest of our meals and got ready to visit the jewelry store.

Once we got there we walked inside and were greeted by the salesman.

"Is there anything you need help finding?" He asked.

"I ordered an engagement ring about two weeks ago. It's supposed to be in today," I told him.

"Okay, what name is it under?"

"O'Callaghan," I replied.

"I'll be right back," he said walking away.

I sighed and ran my hands through my hair nervously. I had spent so much time picking this ring out and I really hope Beth likes it.

"Here we are, sir," the guy said returning with an envelope.

I opened it and looked at it making sure the engraving and everything was right.

I smiled and got down on one knee, again.

Beth smiled and held out her hand for me.

"Hey dollface. Wanna get hitched?" I joked.

She giggled and nodded and I slipped the ring on her finger with shakey hands.

She looked at it and a smile broke out onto her face.

"John... This is beautiful. How could you think I wouldn't like this?" She asked still studying the ring.

"Read the engraving," I told her as I stood up.

"Love will never ever let us fall apart," she read.

"It's from a song I'm working on," I stated.

"I love it so much John!" She smiled wrapping her arms around me.

I held her close for a minute before letting go. I gave her a kiss on the forehead and proceeded to pay for the ring.

We walked out of the store holding hands and smiling.

"We start moving in tomorrow," I reminded her.

"I know, I can't wait to get everything over there," she said.

"Maybe we can sleep on the floor again like we did when we moved into our first apartment," I chuckled.

"I don't know. I wasn't four months pregnant last time," she laughed.

"What happened to 'I can sleep anywhere as long as you're with me'?" I asked.

She laughed.

"Fine, if it means that much to you we can sleep on the damn floor!" She gave in.

"Yes! I win," I smirked.

She shook her head and grinned "And to think I'm marrying you,"
