Midwest Aftermath
I've never written anything based on a song prior to this, so I do apologize in advance if this one-shot is mediocre. This is for Castiel's Faces of the NHL contest, and is based on the song Day Old Hate by City and Colour. (Sad song is difficult to write about.)
I would really, REALLY appreciate it if I got any kind of feedback on this, even if it's just a simple "It was good", "It was bad", etc. I am doing at least one more song fic like this, so I need to know in what areas I need to improve. Like I said, this is my first one, so I am, for all intents and purposes, a "n00b".
Anyway, on a personal note, I'm rather happy that I got Patrick Sharp. He used to be a member of my preferred hockey team, and I do miss him, since he was (and still is) a fantastic hockey player. But, we have a stupid GM, and I digress.
Rated PG for references to alcohol, a depressing theme and very, very mild language.
