Five Years

One.

Emily lightly touched the four dotted scars on the side of her neck "would that be all Ma'am?" a deep voice asked, she didn't remove her hand from her neck or her eyes from her book. She nodded and muttered quietly thanks as she scanned the room with her ocean deep blue eyes, her thoughts travelled back to the night he claimed her as his - when he bounded a connection between them.

Five years, five years was a long time and a lot of things had changed. Emily limply rested the book on her leg as he sipped her
She missed the magic world - her first time sitting in London in a magical cafe. She sighed sullenly resting the white cup on its saucer going back to read her study.
"Em, is that you?" a deep rich voice asked from the hardly crowded streets Emily looked up from her book "n-no" she stuttered at sight of Harry Potter he was still tall and lanky with that messy black hair and thin circular rimmed glasses.
Emily quickly packed up her books shoving them in her bag and tossed a few coins onto the table before ushering out of there.

She rounded a corner and lent up against it heaving in air - she couldn't face them, any of them. She was too much of a coward, she closed her eyes tightly and breathed in and out slowly pushing back those memories of all those years ago and she couldn’t help but doubt why she ever came back to London in the first place.

The bartender looked up from wiping down the bar "Okay Harry, what the hell was all that about?" Harry shot him a look "didn't you realize who that was... Emily, she finally came back after all these years" the bartender's face hardened "I'm not sure i want her back..." he punched numbers into the till "this isn't what he would’ve wanted!" yelled Ginny who suddenly chose to show herself, "Gin, don't tell me what Fred would’ve wanted" George glowered at his younger sister.

She scoffed at him, “George you have changed. I can’t see how Angelica stays with you” before she stormed out of the small coffee shop, George had packed up and sold the store after the war. Only telling everyone he couldn’t do business by himself anymore – the truth. Jokes reminded him too much of the brother, he dearly missed everyday.
Harry gave George a sorry look before walking out of the shop and after her.

Emily sighed and stared at her apartment door for a long time before, sticking in her key and unlocking the door. The apartment was quiet for a rare moment before Emily dropped her bag and laid on the couch – she could have had her mansion but she sold it once she finished up uni and told Brayne to have an early retirement, he was Fiji - enjoying the life.
Emily’s thoughts travelled back to Roman and she wondered how he was doing… with his missions.

She remembered the night he told her; she was reading a book studying for her final Healer’s exam when he popped in front of her looking worried.
“Rose” he had said, she looked up at him “I can’t bring it into words. So please look” he whispered fast, pressing his forehead to hers.
