Paul’s POV:

My heart squeezed tightly as I watched her fly away down the street. “You look like your goldfish died” Jake mumbled looking at me intently. I growled turning a glare on him, that could probably crack stone, he lazily raised his hands and drawled “Just saying.” Silently he turned leaving me in the yard staring at the empty road.

“Only a few days” I sighed into the silent air around me More like a few eternities

Eliana’s POV:

“THIS YOUR CAR!!!!” Emmett yelled running out to meet me in the drive way as I stepped out

“Yeah” I said softly picking up Al as I got out of the car

“She is beautiful” Emmett said stroking the hood gently

“She is Sammy” I smirked shrugging lightly

“Dear lord” Rose groaned “Now I have to battle against a car for my husband’s love thanks a lot Eliana” She snarckily huffed, glaring at me playfully as she dragged Emmett beck into the house. Bella and I chuckled before grabbing Al’s cage out of the car and walking into the house

“PUPPY!!!!” Nessie squealed excitedly bolting into the room her arms waving around as she excitedly bounced from foot to foot.

“Nessie meet Al” I smiled sweetly at her as I knelt to the ground beside her. “You must be very gentle and sweet to him. He is a baby,” I told her sweetly setting Al’s small wobbly body by my feet. At first Al stayed close to me looking around at all the new people, but when Nessie knelt to the ground and very gently touched her finger to his head he eased up off my legs slightly.

“You are so pretty” Nessie purred her light voice sweet and airy as she gently pets Al’s head. The puppy tentatively licked her chilly hand before nuzzling up against her fully. “He likes me” Nessie squealed softly causing Al to tense but he relaxed when she hushed him.

“He does your right.” I smiled at her “Would you mind taking him out to go potty for me?”

“No” Nessie said as she carefully picked him up and clutched him gently in her little arms. “Daddy come outside with me,” she commanded already half way to the door. Edward chuckled but followed silently behind her trailing coppery curls

“Great now she is gonna want a freaking puppy” Bella grumbled flopping onto the stairs as Alice flittered down them.

“He is so precious” Alice said airily giving a slightly leap off the last four steps

“Why are you in such a good mood?” I muttered watching the near glowing vampire

“Because I get to dress you for the next week” she giggled twirling around me

“What?” I asked incredulously

“Well I already saw it” she smirked “I bugged you until you gave in so we can either skip the irritating part or it can begin you only lasted three hours” she said with a smug smile

“Fine” I sighed plopping myself down next to Bella on the stairs

“Perfect” Alice squealed and she pounced up over Bella and I and ran up towards I assumed her room

“She is so odd” I muttered still shocked

“You get used to it” Bella laughed softly

“I hope so” I sighed falling back onto the stairs

Demetri’s POV:

I yanked viscously at my thick hair and roared “GOD DAMN IT!!!”

“What is it Demetri?” Jane’s slinky voice asked and she floated into my little stone room

“I need her,” I moaned loudly collapsing onto my knees “I need her” I sobbed but no tears fell

“Who?” Jane said as she primly sat herself on the simple chair in the corner her thin legs crossing daintily.

“Eliana” I moaned at the though of her lush curves and perfect face

“Why is she important?” Jane muttered fixing her already impeccable cloak

“Yes why Demetri?” Chuckled Alec his crimson gaze flicking between his sister and I

“She is mine,” I growled glaring up at Alec

“Is she now?” Alec said in a soothing tone before drifting to his sister’s side and setting a hand on her shoulder

I snapped my jaws at the pair and let a feral growl rip through my chest as I sat back on my heels glaring at the duo

“He is reacting strongly” Jane said only a slight hiss in her thin voice

“Much more strongly then the last time” Alec chuckled evilly

“Oh Jasmine and the girl before that was…” Jane giggled light heartedly

“Camille” Alec volunteered “The one before her was Olivia and the one before her was” Alec paused looking thoughtful even though he knew the answer

“Megan” Jane volunteered her eyes a twisted lit up blood red as she gazed steadily at me “and there were several before her Demetri. What makes this one special?” Jane cooed looking oh so prim in her seat

“She is the real deal,” I growled finally standing on my feet in the blink of an eye, the duo was not startled

“I don’t see how she could possibly be different all you want is a game Demetri a hunt. Don’t try to fool us. Simply pick a new mouse and you will be content,” she said flipping her tiny pale hand at me

“NO!!!” I roared my dark hair swirling around my chin “I want her” I seethed. I used to take comfort in my gift I could perfectly pinpoint where Eliana was at anytime. It was a comfort knowing I had a link to her, but now I seethed knowing she was in the middle of the Cullen territory. “She is so pure so perfect I want to corrupt her,” I hissed as I began stalking up and down the length of my room

“That is a very sadistic thing to say Demetri” Jane giggled sweetly. Her Crimson orbs tracked every step I took as Alec gazed steadily at his thoughtful sister “If she means so much go take her”

“She is with the Cullens,” I growled before sneering “Don’t act as if you didn’t know Jane”

“I see your problem” she said undeterred “Just don’t think about it” She said as if it were obvious

“What?” I growled glaring at the thin blonde child

“Don’t think. Don’t make a conscious decision follow your instincts they wont know what hit them until it is to late” Jane said her smirk finally weaseling its way onto her face “Act don’t think it is what you are built to do. You’re an animal use your instincts” The evil glimmer in her eye would have terrified anyone, but I was used to that evil genius look shinning through her eyes.

“And you said I was the sadistic one” I growled grabbing a cloak of a hook on the wall and waltzing out the door. I passed Felix in the corridor and grabbed his collar hauling him off with me towards the nearest exit

“Where are we going?” His deep voice rumbled as he ripped himself out of my grip

“Out” I hissed flipping up my hood I wasn’t thinking I was running purely on what my body told me

Eliana’s POV:

I was running. My legs pumping viciously below my body, they sent me flying through the thick woods. I was panting. My lungs filled with air, but it wasn’t satisfying it burned as I heaved trying to push myself faster. I was confused. My brain tried to process what was happening, but all I knew was that I was terrified, gasping, and running for my life.

I plummeted through the trees and skidded to a halt I had almost flown over the edge of the First beach cliffs. I took a deep breath and flipped around my eyes scanning the woods. I didn’t know why I was scared, but I knew I was scared of something. Something wanted me in pain I didn’t know what, but it was pure evil. Something moved in the darkness and a branch snapped just as a scream ripped from my body and someone emerged from the darkness.

Gasping I shot up in bed a slight scream ripping from my throat; Rose was immediately sitting on the bed next to me her cold hand touching my face. “You Ok?” She asked soothingly as her stony hands smoothed my matted curls

“Fine” I croaked taking deep breaths as I studied her beautiful face. Each line had become familiar to me in the last few days it was a comfort to know she cared so much for me. “What time is it?” I asked my voice still rough

“Close to 4 A.M.” She said sweetly as her nimble fingers worked gently through my thick sweaty locks.

“I’m gonna get up” I muttered my eyes shutting to her soothing touch

“Why don’t you lay down for a bit longer you’ve only gotten 4 hours or sleep” she whispered pressing my gently back into the bed as her fingers continued to detangle my hair

“Hmm” I nearly purred twisting into a position so she had freedom to almost all my hair as a soft sigh left my lips

“Go to sleep I’ll stay right here” she whispered just as I drifted back into unconsciousness.

A soft humming entered into my dark world. As my brain clicked on I realized it was Rosalie’s humming as my eyelids fluttered open. For a second all I saw was white light then slowly Rose’s face came into focus “Hello sleepy head” she said with a twitch of a smile

“Good morning” I yawned sitting up

“Afternoon” she corrected studying me closely as I stretched

“What?” I muttered rubbing sleep from my eyes and cracking my spine and neck repeatedly

“You mean good afternoon it is just after 12” she smiled as she hopped off the bed and reappeared a neat stack of clothing in her hands. “Alice picked them out along with your outfits for tomorrow and the first day of school” rose laughed at my look of horror

“Not the first day of school” I groaned stomping my foot as I took the tidy little pile from Rose’s freezing hands

“Oh yeah” Rose smirked “get dressed Esme has breakfast down stairs”

And with that she was gone. “Vampires” I groaned throwing the neat little stack onto the bed making them spill into a messy heap. Feeling slightly better I slid off my sleep shorts and began getting dressed.
