Because Of You

I looked up from my book when I heard a new costumer enter the diner. Once my eyes met his I knew I should’ve walked away and asked someone else to cover for me. I ignored my heart and stayed put.

It was because I had a heart, that I couldn’t walk away. It was because I had a heart, that I ignored every warning my body sent me and made my way over to him.
