Come on, eyes. I want to see Liam’s eyes for just a second!
“Oh my god!” I look at Bryn when her mother screams. Her eyes are open, looking at me. They close quickly, and she smiles.
Okay, I’ll go now. There’s a big white light. I feel like I’m in a vacuum cleaner. It’s like I’m being sucked out of my body.
The heart rate monitor goes dead. Bryn’s dead. Bryn’s gone.
I’m in the hospital room. But I’m standing. I’m standing! I look around. “Gran?” she looks better than ever.
“We’ve been waiting for you, sweetheart.”
