Laney has always been stubborn with many things;especially moving halfway across the country to Kure Beach, North Carolina
where her older brother, John lives.She doesn't want to go there for school; she wants to stay in Eugene Oregon with her mom and younger
brother charlie, but its not a request to go, its an order. Stubborn as ever she packs her bags to leave dreading the fact
of spending her senior year of high school with her brother who she hasn't seen in years. Once she gets there she finds
herself growing fond of living along the shorelines and visiting the peirs. She even meets a new friend; a girl named
Catherine who shows her around town. But one night Catherine introduces Laney to someone who will turn Laney's life
upside down. His name is Jay. Jay is everything Laney has never wanted to be and she despises him. But she can't help but
feel a fondness to him, which soon turns into a yearning for him. Laney soon figures out she is falling in love with Jay,
and she can't help herself from showing her switched feeings towards him. but Jay does more than make her fall in love with
him; he leaves footprints in her heart. some that will remain in there forever.

And before i know it, i'm sound asleep. The airplanes hummingsound as my lullabye. -

"Laney?" I turn to look at John. "Yeah?" I ask. He smiles. "It's good to have you here." -

But before i noticed any of the that stuff, I noticed his eyes. How they were the most beautiful brown but were dull. -
