Magic America

Camomile is obsessed with America. Her best friend Marty moved over there with her liberal parents and gorgeous brother just over three years ago; now Camomile is all but alone in England, hating her boyfriend, sister, parents, town and generation. So when Marty offers her the chance to come to America for a few weeks and stay with her, Camomile jumps - only to discover that Marty has become dull and conforming. Then she meets three strangers who are on a soul-searching roadtrip, and joins them. She discovers the real America, and learns the reasons why the three Americans are running away from their lives, before she confronts her own disillusioned existence and realises that cynicism isn't all it's cracked up to be.
