Chocolate Sunrise

I was with him under the stars, sitting under that huge tree we both loved. There was a smile on his face, telling me he was trying not to laugh at my failed attempts at counting the stars.

“Wait, did I count that one?” I asked him, looking confused.

“I don’t know which one you’re referring to,” he said, laughing loudly now. I huffed and sat up, turning to face him.

”We’ll be together forever, you know that right? I never want to leave you,” I grabbed his hand and intertwined our fingers.

“Forever,” he agreed, kissing the top of my head.
