Trouble making friends, a workaholic dad, and secrets to be unveiled... Seventeen year old
Ariel Johnson-James doesn't know half of what's going on in her life. As a minor, and living
with her big shot surgeon father, Ariel struggled to make the right choices with a new group
of kids she met in the town of Rochester, Minnesota.
When her father was assigned to work at the MAYO clinic there, he was never home, which
forced Ariel to make some life choices that may not have been the smartest. She wanted so
much to spend time with her dad, but with him being one of the best doctors there is, she
does things she knows he would NOT approve of to get his attention.
When he finds out about these things, he is conveniently offered a job as second lead
doctor of Forks Hospital. Immediately taking the job, knowing it will help Ariel make better
choices. However he fails to tell Ariel the real reason he took the job at that particular
hospital. With her growing suspicious, and him trying to find an easy way to tell her the truth,
Ariel's life turns upside down.
The only normal thing in her life right now is when she meets vampire: Emmett Cullen. And
his lovely family. She doesn't know his own family's secrets, and doesn’t exactly like him at
first. She eventually finds herself falling for him, but when the secrets of her past are finally
out in the open... She finds that her relationship with Emmett is a betrayal to her family.
