What I Hate About Me

XI

We got to her house and parked.
“Hey Ms. Clearwater.” I smiled at Leah’s mom and hugged her.
“Hello Jerica.” She said.
“Hello I am Jeremiah.” A guy said. I looked at him.
He looked about 6’5” so I had to look up to see his face. He was wearing male skinny jeans, with a black button up shirt. He had his hair spikey.
He looked good.
First part of the test. Check.
We walked inside.
We ate dinner and I was making conversation with him.
He had manners.
Check.
He was a funny person.
Check.
He made Leah happy.
Check.
But could he handle anger issues?
We shall find out.
“So have you had any other girlfriends before?” I asked.
He nodded his head.
“What happened?” I asked.
“She cheated on me.” He said.
I nodded my head.
“Well. Sorry to hear that.”
I dropped a napkin.
“Do you think you could pick that up?” I asked.
He nodded his head.
Leah gave me a glare.
“I’m testing him.” I mouthed.
Her mouth formed an O.
“So do you think you can help us clean up? I wouldn’t want Ms. Clearwater to do any work or are you too ‘manly’ to do that?” I asked.
His eyes widened in surprise.
“No, I’ll help.” He said.
I nodded my head.

When we finished cleaning up we watched TV.
“Do you guys want to watch a movie?” I asked.
They nodded their head.
I smirked and put The Notebook.
Hehe.
We watched the movie. Leah and I were ready to kill ourselves 30 minutes in the movie, but we held it in.
He looked like he was in pure torture but didn’t say a word about it.
When the movie finished I jumped up.
“I like him.” I smiled.
“Good because I’ve imprinted on him.” Leah smiled.
My mouth shaped into an O.
“I’m so happy for you!” I squealed and ran to hug her.
He looked lost.
“You shall find out right when I talk to my boyfriend about it.” I said.
“I should probably go though, he’s waiting for me.” I said shyly.
“Thanks for testing him.” Leah smiled.
“That was a test?” He asked.
I nodded my head.
“So I won’t have to watch any more sappy movies anymore?” He asked smiling.
“Me and Leah were ready to kill ourselves 30 minutes in the movie, so no.” I smiled and walked outside saying bye.
