Things I'll Never Say.

I Guess I Need You, Baby.

Draco's heart fell when Symmie stormed off, but it shattered when he heard her scream.

By the time he made it to the bottom, Symone had already hit the bottom and she had a large gash on her forehead now.

Students and teachers rushed to the pair after hearing Symone's scream of terror. Draco ignored everyone as he held the girl in his arms, his tears dripping onto her pale and somewhat bloody face.

The raven haired girl was barely even breathing as Draco kept begging for her to hold on and saying he was sorry.

For a moment, even Sydney looked a little concerned. Symone's other two friends, Abby and Brent, rushed to the front of the crowd and immedietly Abby broke out into tears. The two have been like sisters since they were six.

After about ten minutes, Snape finally pried Draco away from Symone as McGonagall and Madam Pomfrey rushed her into the Hospital Wing.

"What the hell happened with you two?" Draco recognized Abigail Voltura's Italian accent behind him and faced her with shattered eyes.

"We had an argument, she ran off, and fell down those damn stairs." Draco replied through clenched teeth, punching the wall as he felt like a complete idiot all over again.

"I'm sure she'll be alright," Brent said, "the poor girl's been through a lot in her life; some of it bloody worse than this."

Brent Windsor had joined the picture only a year ago transferring from Bucharst; so he still didn't understand Symone and Draco's bond.

Abby shook her head at Brent. "No, you don't understand them just yet. Draco and Symone have a bond that could drive them both to be mute loners or kill them if it was ever severed.

"They haven't fought once in the eight of nine years they've been friends. Symone and Draco are closer than anything. They know each other better than themselves.

"This was actually the second time I one day I caught Symone crying after running from you. What's gotten into you Draco?"

Draco didn't know how to respond. He just kept worrying about Symone, forgetting everything else.

"What have I done..." Draco muttered, wanting to fall down the stairs now as well.

"Go see if she is okay," Abby's warm brown eyes met Draco's shattered gray ones. "She needs you the most right now. Go, Malfoy."

Draco nodded and ran towards the Hospital Wing, hoping Symone was okay.

Nearly everyone in the Hospital Wing was on Symone's case. She was not only bleeding from the gash on her forehead, but from the back of her head as well and she was quickly losing conciousness.

Once the bleeding was stopped and bandaged, they tried to keep her alive. It was a slim chance after the fall she took and the amount of blood she lost, but they still tried.

As Symone began to fade more and more, Draco ran in the room and rushed by her side, somehow causing her to stay alive, but completely unconcious.

Every hour one of the nurses checked in on Symone. Still no change after four hours; Symone remained in the hospital bed unconcious and barely breathing, and Draco remained at her side, holding her hand and praying for her to wake up.

Abby and Brent visited her the fifth hour, still no change.

Six hours, nothing.

Seven hours, nothing.

Eight hours, nothing.

Eventually it was just after 11 p.m. and a nurse was just about to leave from checking on Symone when her hand twitched in Draco's.

The nurse for Madam Pomfrey and Draco's face lit up.

"Symmie?" He said breathlessly.

The girl's head moved towards Draco's voice, making him smile and hold her hand tighter.

"Symmie, it's me, Draco. I'm so sorry for everything today, I swear I'll make it up to you. I know I can be an idiot but I shouldn't have acted the way I did to you."

What he heard next broke his heart all over again, "Who's Symmie?"

Draco hoped he had heard her wrong. "W-what?" He stuttered.

The girl opened her eyes, revealing the bright blue Draco recognized her having only a few times in her life; when she saved him from Buckbeak in third year from the addreniline, and as a small child when they first met.

These weren't the eyes she had after all the years of knowing him. This wasn't his Symmie anymore.

"Who's Symmie?" She asked, confused. "I take it your name is Draco I know you?"

Draco hoped she was only playing a trick on him as payback so his heart wouldn't shatter anymore.

"Silly girl," He forced a smile and moved some of her hair out of her pale face. "I call you Symmie. It's short for Symone."

"Oh..." She said. "So are you boyfriend or something?"

"N-not quite..." Draco answered, not sure what to say to the clueless girl before him.

The girl looked at Draco carefully, trying to figure out he was to her. "Brother?"

Draco shook his head.

"I don't know..." Symone looked closely at Draco's sad gray eyes and suddenly remembered something. "Wait! I recognize your eyes!"

Draco grew hopeful again considering it was his eyes that Symone has liked most since they first met.

"You do?"

"Yeah, they seem so familiar..." Symone studied his eyes closely but got no where. "I don't know who you are, but something about your eyes makes me not care and want to trust you."

Draco put a hand on Symone's cheek and smiled sadly at her. "When we first met you said the exact same thing."

"When did we meet?"

"You were turning eight that month and I had just turned it the month before. I knew when you pushed a certain girl in the mud that we could definetly be friends."

"I sound mean..." The girl frowned. "Am I a bad person?"

Draco's heart fell again, remembering why they were in this predicament. "No, absolutely not. You're a free spirit, you like to go by your own rules."

"I just want you to promise me one thing."

"Depends on the promise." Draco sadly smiled again, remembering each time Symmie has said that.

"You have a sister, Sydney. She's blonde and she is a bad person. I want you to stay away from her and don't listen to anything she tells you."

"Okay. Can I ask you something?"

"If you're not my boyfriend or my brother, why are you being so kind to me right now?"

Draco kissed her forehead gently. Who knows what exactly is going on, he thought, now may as well be a good enough time to tell her.

"Because I love you too much not to be."

I don't recognize him, but I think I might love him too...

Oh no, what's happened to poor Symone?
Fun fact; I stay up late writing these chapters due to my insomnia. Hahaa.
