Closing Your Eyes Won't Make Me Disappear

"I gotcha! So that's what's been going on! That Sasuke, he's too anxious!"
I let out a sigh as we continue to run following Pakkun. I had just finished telling Naruto about what had happened and he was understanding. "So! Why am I being assigned out like this? It's a shittin' chore!" Shikamaru says annoyed at coming along. "It was Kakashi-sensei's orders," I state slightly irrated at the boy. All he did was complain and that got on my nerves. "This way!" Pakkun suddenly says changin direction. We immedietly followed after him. I couldn't help but think about back in the village.
What did Tatsuya and his team do? Are they fighting along or retreating? Is Mitsuru coming back for me?
"Hey! You guys pick up the pace!" Pakkun shouted at us making me snap out my thoughts. My eyes widen when O feel their presence. Why hadn't I felt them before?!
"What is it?!" Naruto asked confused. "There's about eight...no nine people chasing us!" I snap over to him frowning. If I cause a genjutsu I could lead them some where else but the only one I knew at the moment are only just to do it one person at a time. "Already?! Man, you've gotta be kidding!" Shikamaru shouts irrated. "Don't look as if they've got a fix on our true position yet but they're closin' in on us quickly while on the lookout against any surprise attacks," Pakkun explains to us and I frown. Dammit, I had to do something or else they'll catch up but we don'thave time to lose.
"Shit!They're probably all beyond Chuunin level...if they catch up with us we'll be annihilated!" Shikamaru says over to us and I grit my teeth. That was probably true if so, we couldn't let them catch us but at this rate they'll find us. "Shit!Well, if that's the case then shall we ambush 'em and do 'em?!" Naruto demanded over to us and I noded.
"If we surprise them it'd be a better advantage, even if their are twice the number," I said over to him trying to think of a plan for it.
"It's no use. They're subordinates of Orochimaru, a former Konoha shinobi, you know..." Pakkun says over to us and I frown. "What does that have to do?" I question him. Since I wasn't from Konoha exactly, I didn't know what the dog was talking about. "Like, what do you mean?" Naruto asked confused also.
"You guys just don't get it. Okay, listen up! Sure an ambush is a basic tactic that's very favourable to the user but there are two necessary conditions that must be met. The first is that those fleeing must move without making noise and discover the enemy first! The second is to locate and quickly conceal themselves a place and poition where you can take them off guard and ensure upi cause maximum damage to them. Only when both of these conditinos are met without doubt, will the ambush become affective," Shikamaru explains and I nod understanding. "Well, the first isn't so hard to clear as long as we have Pakkun's nose and even with the 2nd condition, it may seem at first glance that we would be able to secure the best position to surprise them... since this is our home and we're quite familiar with the geograpthy but...this plan won't work against the subordinates of a shinobi who was from Konoha!" Shikamaru continues over to us and I frown. Why not? That doesn't make sense.
"Because they're all probably ninja's who hav e mastered the art of hunting...hunters, who will have been taught the geograpthy of thbis land and practiced mock combat for this battle. Even with that, the ambush will still be advantageous to us but there's too many undecided factors involved! To begin with, the enemy's a ninja squad that's been organized for this plan. Where as we have...an idiot, a lazy kunochi, a dog, and the best guy at running away, me! Battle tactics, you know! It's how to come up with the best plan after fully grasping the combat ability available in a given situation and so, after that analyziz, there's only one thing that we can do now," Shikamaru states as I glare at him lightly.
What? I'm just a lazy kunoichi? I'm way better than that...right?
"Hey Shikamaru your actually smart," I mutter making him glare lightly at me.
"We need to create a diversion that looks as if we're going to ambush them, one of us will have to remain behind and delay them by faking an ambush," Shikamaru finally says and I frown.
"A decoy," I say understanding. The fight with Tatsuya had taken some chakra but I'm pretty sure I could still go on and fight.
"That's right...if they're stalled they won0t be able to locate the remaining three if we do this we'll be able to lsoe the trackers but the one who stars behind will probably die."
I tense up slightly. That thought of dieing and leaving my brother alone in Amarante didn't suit me. But I couldn't just back away and keep running. I've been doing that to much already. "So who's going to do it? The dog's necessary to chase after Sasuke, in which case..."
I let out a sigh but nod. "I understand, I'll do i-"
"I guess I'm the only one..." Shikamaru cuts me off making my eyes widen. "Why you?!" Naruto said wide eyes as well like me. "It's better than being annihilated isn't it? Besides, if you think about the guy that can fulfill the job of the decoy sucessfully and be the most likely to surve then...I'm the only one in this bunch who can do it," Shikamaru says as he lands on a branch stoping causing us to stop.
"Shikamaru, I can do it as well," I said slightly annoyed that he was under estimating me. "Gina, your more of a fighter than a decoy, you'll fight against them and they'll probably win thinking about the diffrence in both numbers and levels," Shikamaru states looking at me and then smirks. "Anyhow, my Kagemane no Jutsu was originally a jutsu used as a delaying tactic, you know..."
I looked at Shikamaru feeling a new feeling toward him. He wasn't as bad as he acted. Even behind all that complaining, he was a good ninja. "Well! I'll catch up with you later on so hurry up and go!" Shikamaru says turning around to the other direction. "We'll be depending on you!" Naruto says over to him as Shikamaru waves at us and I couldn't help but smile as Naruto and Pakkun started to run again. "You better stay alive Shikamaru, I want to fight you someday," I call out to him making Shikamaru look at me and crack a smile.
"I'll see you then."
I smiled before taking off after Naruto and Pakkun.
I caught up to them in no time and glanced at Pakkun after sometime because I could still feel them. "Hey, the enemies are still coming closer aren't they?" I call out to him as he looks at me.
"I know! He might've ran away!" he says over to us and I frown. No, Shikamaru might act likie everythings a pain but he wouldn't do that. Not from the way he acted...could he?
"He's got a bad mouth and he acts like everythings a pain in the neck, but he's not someone who'd betray you!" Naruto shouted at us and it made me lose the doubt immedietly. Naruto had that kind of effect on people. I noded smiling as we contined to run.
My eyes immedietly brighten up when I feel the chakra's stop. "They stoped!" I say looking at Pakkun for approval. He noded and I immedietly felt good. "He did it! Like, he was successful in stopping them in their tracks!" Naruto says exitedly as well.
We contined running for awhile as I tried to focus on Sasuke. I still wasn't as good as to be able to detect chakra's that far off. I think I could feel it faintly, I just didn't know where it was.
"Sasuke's movement has stopped, there's still a little ways to go but..." Pakkun suddenly says and I nod understanding. "Allright!" Naruto says noding as well.
We started running faster as well as we tried to catch up with Sasuke. "There's someone else besides us chasing Sasuke!"
My eyes widen as I look at Pakkun. "What?!" Naruto shouts surprised as well. "Enemy or ally?!" I question him.
"I don't know...only he's not human!" Pakkun says and my eyes widen.
