=Emmett’s POV=
Laying on my bed my hands laced behind my head I lay staring at the ceiling thinking about the singer I heard last night her voice was so sweet and gentle like a Canary. I closed my eyes humming the tune when my door swung open without opening my eyes.
“What is it Alice” I asked my pixie-like sister
“We’re going Christmas shopping” she said cheerfully
“Have fun” I said turning my back to her
“You must not have heard the contraction we’re as in we are as in all of us” she paused “well Edward, Bella, Kyle, Rosalie, Jasper you and I”
“I don’t want to go”
“Oh come on you might find something you like”
“I don’t want anything”
“Oh come on Em”
“Leave him alone Alice” Edward interrupted “he’s too busy thinking about the singer from last night” I sat up glaring at him for telling her he knows she’s a nosy busybody
“What girl” Rosalie asked in an inquisitive tone standing behind Edward I groaned it hurt to be near her like this especially with her new mate around he was an alright guy it just hurt to be near the two of them
“That’s what I’m trying to find out” Alice said hands on her hips
*is nothing private in this house* I thought standing up Edward chuckled at my little joke I walked out of the room
“Where are you going Emmett” Alice asked
“Shopping” I responded heading out the door to my jeep they followed suit. We dressed as we should even though we didn’t get cold we had to keep up appearances. On the way to the mall Alice wouldn’t stop pestering me about what I heard last night. When we arrived at the mall everyone got out and we got the usual attention people stared in awe and we stopped traffic. We shopped around for awhile the girls would hold up certain items and get the general nod or grunt from us guys we soon broke off into two groups I was with Edward and Bella we walked around aimlessly for a few minutes when I noticed the music store District we walked in Epiphany by Chrisette Michele played softly in the background
“Welcome To District where we have all genre’s off music for downloads just head through the red door to the computer lab” a bored teenage male said without looking up from the counter, we looked around Edward dragged Bella to the classical section I wondered off to the rock section I looked over the music until I found something I liked when I heard faint humming, but it was clear the same pitch as last night it was her the singer from last night and she was close I slowly walked around the corner only to be met by a blonde girl she looked over at me and smiled she was cute but not the girl I was looking for. I smiled politely and went back to where I was *I must be hearing things* I thought then I heard it again walking back around I saw a redhead rocking her hips from side to side with headphones on her head and a CD in hand it was Usher’s newest album. Her curves showed threw her tight black turtle neck and khaki pants she had on boots which gave her good height but she was probably only 5’6”, she had a red scarf around her neck that matched the red coat she had on her arm. She was beautiful but when her scent hit me it was a different story my throat began to burn and my body began to shake I could hear her heart beat slowly in my ears I stepped back bumping into someone they dropped whatever they were holding and the girl looked at me with her baby blue eyes she removed her headphones and looked dead at me
“Are you alright” she asked her voice melodic and tempting
“Oh he’s fine just a klutz” the person I bumped into turned out to be Alice I didn’t take my eyes off the girl. She looked confused
“What about you” she asked looking past me
“I’m okay” she said in her usual cheery voice the girl nodded setting the headphones down
“Are you guys new around here” she asked “this is a pretty small city”
“Yeah we moved here a last month” Alice answered “I’m Alice Cullen by the way”
“Juliet Hawke” they shook hands
“This is my fiancé Jasper” she gestured to the golden haired male behind her he did a modest nod
“And this big teddy bear is Emmett” the girl looked at me and smiled I walked away
Holding my breath if I had stayed there any longer I probably would’ve had her by now.
