Doll House

“What's so special about them?” I asked, unaware of the controversy it caused.

Scarlett gasped, as if it were offending her,and not the twenty-or-so blonde girls sitting in the corner of the room. They looked regal – elegantly dangerous. They looked as if they wanted to eat me, but do it with so much class that no one be any wiser to it. It frightened the hell out of me.

“The Dollhouse is the most exclusive sorority on campus. You don't pledge them – they recruit people based on who they think is worthy of them.” She stared longingly at them, sighing. “They only approach six people from each graduating year. All of them are insanely gorgeous, as you can tell.”

I pursed my lips, narrowing my eyes at them. “And what happens if you don't want to join?”

“That's not an option,” Scarlett stated, as simply as if she were telling what the weather was like outside. “You can't reject an invitation into the Dollhouse. Once you're in, there's no getting out.”
