I Will Never Forget That Night

Home

When we stepped inside,I saw the reason for Alice's distress. It wasn't a big thing, but the shack looked kind of...rundown. The wallpaper was peeling in places and the furniture was raggedy looking, but none of that mattered to me. Why? Because it had a very comfortable feeling to it, just like a very loved home. And the fact that Spencer stood in the middle looking at us with a shocked face helped.

"Sorry for the mess," Alice spoke.

"What mess? This place is brilliant. It feels... like a real home." I turned and beamed at her because I meant every syllable.
