Layla’s POV
I woke up to the sound of Avenged Sevenfold’s Natural Born Killer blasting through my bedroom speakers. I got up to get ready for the first day of sophomore year. I jumped in the shower and got dressed in this. Ok here’s what happened the past few months. Well you already know the first thing but apparently my dad has started sending money to us anonymous of course but it was a shock because it wasn’t the kind of ‘I’m sending 10 bucks kind of thing’ no I mean ‘I’m sending you 100,000 dollars a week kind of thing!’. You don’t know how shocked I was but it wasn’t like I sent the money back. Since we live on the corner of the area and had a lot of land we tore down (unfortunately) our old house and created this.

Yeah so back to what I’m currently doing. I ran into the kitchen and grabbed the sunny side up eggs that my mom made (the only thing that makes me happy now adays). I slowly ate and then forced a smile at my mom. I headed to the grarage and got into my new Red Bugatti Veyron . Driving out of the parkway I cranked the volume to 45 and pluged my I-pod in and turned to Welcome to The Family by Avenged Sevenfold. I really didn’t want to go to school so I started speeding. I started to sing to the music.

Kayle jumped out of the car screaming how hot Synyster Gates was. I just smiled and jumped out of the car.
“Oh hell no you know M. Shadows is better!” I screamed
“WHAT?!?!” she screeched
“You heard me.”
“But what about Zacky Vengeance?”

“Oooohhh…” she replied innocently
I laughed and wrapped my arm around her.
“Oh come on we both know that M. Shadows, Synyster Gates, and Zacky Vengeance are hot right?”
She acted like she was thinking about it so I hit her on the arm.

I flipped her off and ran to the car knowing that almost all the guys in school were checking me out. I grabbed my I–pod and spun around only to bump into someone. I looked up to see a boy with short blond hair and milk brown eyes. He was hot! NO! He made hot look safe people!
I gasped and dropped to pick up my I-pod.

I caught Dylan and Jessica behind James. Dylan looked mad and Jessica was talking to someone. I smiled and started walking besides James. Kayle gave me a thumbs up when he wasn’t looking and skipped off somewhere.
“So are you new here?” I asked him

“Yeah I moved on Arthur St.” he answered
“Hey I live on that street.” I laughed

James’ POV

I saw her look behind for a moment but I brushed it off. She smiled at me and started walking. I saw a blond-headed girl give Layla a thumbs up. Probably thinking I didn’t see it.

He pushed me up against a wall.
“YOU STAY AWAY FROM LAYLA DO YOU HEAR ME?!?!” He shouted at me
I was so confused
“Why? What is she to you?” I questioned arrogantly
He punched seriously close to my face but I didn’t flinch.
“Stay away from her.” He growled
“Dylan!” I heard a girl with blond hair call
The boy narrowed his eyes at me.
“Coming babe!” he yelled; dropping me to the floor and stomping off.
