All Figured Out

It's Great

Matt Flyzik had been apologizing to Alex for the past two hours.

Alex was starting to get annoyed to say the least.

"Alex I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be such an ass last week, and I know you didn't either."

"Shut up Flyzik, I know. It's cool." Alex sat in the lounge of the hotel room downstairs, tuning his guitar, while Matt was pacing in front of him.

"But it's not! You didn't deserve it."

Alex rolled his eyes for the tenth time, strumming a chord on his guitar.
"Matt look, I know what we both did was wrong and we shouldn't have taken our anger out on each other, but every thing's cool now."

Matt stopped pacing and took a seat next to the other boy, putting his feet on the table in front of him.

"Why are you so happy today?"

Alex continued to strum on his guitar, giving way to nothing but a large smile.

"What happened?" Matt asked, turning sideways on the couch so he was facing his friend.

"Nothing really." Alex's smile got wider, and both men knew he'd give way eventually.

"What happened?" Matt moved closer, knowing that if Alex felt uncomfortable he'd say it.

"Zack and I have a date tonight. That's it."

Matt wasn't buying it, "Right. What else?"

Alex whispered something that Matt didn't quite catch, so moving closer to the other man he asked Alex to repeat himself.

"I said we're a couple!" Alex slapped his hand against the body of his guitar, making a loud booming noise from within it.

Matt looked at Alex wide eyed. He wasn't sure if it was a joke or if the singer was being serious.

"W-what?"

"You heard me. Zack and I are dating."

~~~~~~
"Zack, it's 5 o'clock. The sun's setting soon, you should probably go find Alex." Rian was watching Zack struggle with getting his belt through the loop of his jeans.
Saying he was nervous was an understatement; Zack couldn't even remember his name.
All within the course of 3 days, he and Alex had cuddled, gotten intimate, and have become an official couple, and they had yet to go on a date.
That's where tonight comes in.
Zack had wanted this to happen for a while, and now that it was here he wasn't so sure he wanted to believe it was real.
He felt like he was in a dream.
Finally succeeding with his belt, Zack grabbed his Hurley sweatshirt from the chair in the corner of the room and slipped his Vans on, giving Rian one last smile before stumbling out the door and across the hall to Alex and Jack's room.
He stopped to breathe for a few seconds before knocking, waiting impatiently for someone to answer.
"It's open!" The butterflies in Zack's stomach set themselves loose as he opened the door, stepping inside and instantly being met with the smell of Axe and aftershave.
"Alex?" Zack walked further into the room, taking a seat on one of the counters.
"Getch yo' ass of that counter!" Alex stepped out of the bathroom fully dressed. "Jackary said he can't tell me where we're going."
He pouted, walking forward and taking Zack's knees and moving them so he could snuggle himself in between Zack's legs.
He could hear Zack's breath hitch and had trouble keeping the pout on his face with all the smiling he was doing. He stretched his neck up and placed a soft kiss to Zack's lips.
Alex smiled more when he felt the other boy smile against his lips.
"I can't tell you either." Zack smiled down at him when he finally pulled away, moving Alex's body so he could slide off the counter.
Alex rolled his eyes, mumbling a quiet 'Fine' and took Zack's hand in his, lacing their fingers together.
"Can I have a hint?" Alex smiled up at Zack, who was an inch taller then he was, and pulled on his hand.
Zack just smiled, pulling Alex behind him and out the door.
~~~~~

Saying he was happy was far from the truth.

He was radiating with excitement. He was ecstatic. He was bouncing off the walls.

Alex Gaskarth couldn't have asked for more.

"Would you calm down Lex. This is ridiculous." Zack held Alex's hand tighter and smiled at how jumpy he was being.

Alex had never been to Greece, and neither had Zack, but yet he still managed to amaze Alex.
That was the first time he was thankful for meeting Adrian.

That Morning:

"Adrian? It's Zack." Zack sat in his room, the phone pressed against his ear.

"Oh, Zack. Hello. How did you find the number?"

"That's not relevant right now. I need help."

Adrian sighed, "What is the problem?"

"Where can I take Alex for our date?"

Adrian sighed again, stopping to think for a moment.

"Well, there's a park in Skiathos. You can take a walk there, and then there's a restaurant across the street."

"Awesome. Thanks so much!" Zack hung up the phone before Adrian could respond, connecting to the Internet on his phone with hopes that tonight would go well.

Present:

"Sorry Zee. I'm just happy." He continued on walking, turning his head slightly to look at Zack's face.
Seeing Zack smile had a certain effect on Alex that he couldn't quite describe.

Letting go of Alex's hand, Zack opened the door to the restaurant, letting Alex walk inside.

Zack didn't realize Adrian worked there until he walked in.

"Zack, hello! This is Alex, yeah?" Adrian smiled, and pointed to the blushing boy beside Zack.

He stuck his hand out, holding his ground, and introduced himself to Adrian.

"Yeah, I'm his boyfriend Alex." He smiled smugly, earning himself a frown from Adrian, and an elbow in the ribs from Zack.

"Nice to meet you then. Come this way." He grabbed two menus, motioning for Zack to follow him.
He paid no attention to Alex.

"Thanks." Zack smiled at Adrian as he sat down across from Alex, who sat in his chair with a 'plop', a pout on his face.

"What the hell Lexi?" Zack had his arms crossed over his chest; He wasn't happy with his boyfriend.

"I just don't like him." He brushed his fingers down the class of water sitting next to him on the table, refusing to make eye contact with the man across the table.

"What did he do to you?" Zack had to try hard not to raise his voice.

"He flirted with you on the plane that day. And I just- I just don't like him, okay?"

Zack stretched his arm across the table, grabbing Alex's hand from his water glass and took it in his own.

"You're being ridiculous."

Alex snapped his hand back, pouting once again.

"I'm being reasonable."

"You flirt with Jack all the time. Adrian was just a one time thing, and I didn't flirt back. We weren't even a couple then anyways."

"So?" Alex retorted, he reminded Zack of a teenager again. "And Jack and I are different."

Zack rolled his eyes. He was starting to debate just walking out of the restaurant and leaving Alex there.

"I don't see how, but okay."

"Can we just stop? I don't want to fight with you Zee." It was Alex's turn to reach across the table for Zack's hand, and he flashed the bassist a smile.

And Zack couldn't help but smile back.
"I'm sorry Lexi."

Alex's smile grew, and he rubbed the back of Zack's hand with is thumb and giggled when his hand twitched. "Don't be. I'm the one who should say sorry."

Picking up Zack's hand, Alex did the most cliché thing he could think of, and kissed the back of Zack's hand.

But he couldn't help but feel like someone was watching him.
