Wake Up Call

Alexs POV
I sit down on the bleachers. I look around the ice ring for Kyle. “Hey Alex. Didn’t think I’d see you here.” I hear someone say behind my back. “Yeah. I’m here with..” I turn around. Kyle. “I’m here with one of the most amazing guys ever.” He smiles. “Hey.” He says. “Hi.” He puts his arm around me and I move closer to him. All of a sudden something hit my head. I look down, it was a crumpled piece of paper. I hear someone laugh and I look behind me. Jack. “What do you want Jack?” He throws another. “Seriously Jack? Real mature.” He laughs again. “What the fuck is your problem Barakat?” Kyle yells as he stands up. Jack jumps. He looks scared. “N-n-nothing.” I hear Jack stutter. I stand up and pull on Kyle’s sleeve. “Ky, come on.” He pulls away. “Alex he broke your heart and now he’s messing with you.” He looks at Jack. “S-s-sorry.” Jack says. “It’s fine.” I say. “N-no, I-I’m s-s-sorry t-that youhavetodealwiththisdouchebagofaboyfriend.” He says. “That’s it.” Kyle says as he punches Jack’s nose.

Jacks POV
I take my hand and put it to my nose. It’s bleeding. Obviously. Kyle and Alex walk away as if nothing ever happened. “We leave for ten minutes and you’re already bleeding?” Rian asks. “What? Come on, Kyle is a total douche bag.” I say. “No you are.” “What are you talking about Zack?” I ask. “Jack, you’re the one who broke up with Alex remember?” “Yeah. I guess…” I say quietly as I clutch my nose. “Hey do you guys have any napkins?” I ask. Rian pulls a bunch out of his pocket. “Thanks. I think I’m gonna go.” “Well see ya later.” Rian says. “Bye.” Zack says.
