Never Talk to Strangers

Nelly, just like everyone else, was taught as a kid to never talk to strangers, but when her life turns upside down she turns to the internet, where she talks to strangers and becomes friends with them. These strangers were there just for her to talk to, but somehow, it becomes more than that. How could something like this impact one's life so much?
