"You really want to do this?".

The pale blue house stood before me.Our summer home: where grandma broke a hip,where dad tripped down the stairs,where Jasper drank too much at the age of 6 and threw up in the living room.
We had stayed here the last time mom was sane.She had baked cookies while dad smoked his cigarettes.The scent of both mixing together in a beautiful,delicious way.
If you went around the back of the house you would find yourself in walking distance of the pier.The pier, where Jalen's dad had found me.

"I have to..".

I looked over at my dad,he was starting to lose his color.I reached my hand over to touch his cheek only to have it pass right through him.

"Dad?".

He gave me a sad smile,"I was only supposed to be here until you faced your fears".

My eyes stung,"You're leaving?".

He managed to gain some color and his hand wrapped around mine."We're not done yet".

I held onto him as tight as I could without hurting him.Shooting glances at him every so often as we walked towards the house.I just didn't want him to slip right through my fingers.

The door creaked open,I shivered as the air conditioning hit my skin.
I opened my mouth to say something to my dad but when I turned to where he'd been he was gone.

You're mother isn't letting my spirit into the house.I can only be with you in here.

Well that was a bitch..

I moved further into the house,immediately regretting it once I was slammed into the wall.
Jasper stood before me pinning my hands above my head.His eyes were glossy and pink,he had a dazed but angry look on his face.

"You're high..",I whispered more to myself than to him.

A roar of laughter ripped from his throat.He grabbed both my wrists in his one hand and with the other trailed a finger across my jawline.

"It's your fault you know",he leaned in and whispered in my ear,"Everytime I thought about you,spoke about you;Mom injected me with this sweet poison".

He eyes closed for a long while before boring into mine,"Because I loved you.Because I just loved you way too much and now..look at you!You're all grown up".

"J-Jasper wha-",he stopped me with a finger to my lips.

His eyes scanned the room before once again returning to me."All.Grown.Up."

His husky breath was causing goosebumps to rise all over my exposed flesh.I felt a whimper trying to escape me as I felt his fingers slide down my side and stop at my hips.

"Jasper..",a single tear slid down my cheek.Jasper kissed it away.

"I didn't know I'd love you so much.I didn't know I'd love you so much",he sang quietly enough so only we could hear him,"I didn't know I'd love you so much,but I do".

More tears trickled down my face as Jasper moved my hands around his neck and held them there.His forehead leaned against mine and his fingers rubbed circles into my hip.A sob shook through me as he pressed himself against me.His lips only centimeters away.

"Jasper...please...",I sobbed.

I watched his lips curl into a smile as they made contact with my own.This was wrongof course, it was horribly terribly wrong.But what made it worse was that once upon a time,I would have done anything to be near him again.

All of a sudden Jasper was pulled away from me,I was too numb to pay attention.My lips were tingling and my eyesight was bluring.I fell to my knees and heard a hollow thud as my head hit the wood floor.
The last thing I could make out before I was dragged under was the silhoutte of two broad shouldered men and a women creeping up on them.
Low growls and a shrill yelling met my ears.A gunshot and a grunt were the last things I heard.

"Jasper!Get the fuck away from her!".

The conversation went on with some more yelling but my mind was still dipping in and out of consciousness.A sharp pain in my arm made me jump out of my seat.
I opened my eyes long enough to stare at the purple/blue bruise forming and for a hand to make contact with my cheek.

I hissed.

"Well hello to you too,daughter dearest",she laughed.

I looked into her soleless brown eyes,"Hello.Mother..fucking bitch!".

Another slap across my cheek left another stinging sensation."Speak kindly to your mother.She has your friend".

I glared at Jasper hovering over me,he had a sick murderous smile on his face.He tilted his head to the side and nodded in that direction.

I glared at him before shifting my gaze  to where he had motioned.There was a light pool of blood where a figure sat in the dark.Mother stiffled a laugh as she added more light to the scene.

"Tony!",I flung myself toward him.

He was breathing heavily,his eyes were closed and sweat was dripping from his forehead.He felt cold to the touch.

"What did you do to him?!".

Jasper smiled sweetly at me,"There's a bullet in his leg but don't worry he can't feel it he's off in La La Land".

"You drugged him?",I stood up and gripped his shirt tightly in my hands.

He laughed,"Not just him,you too.It was on my lips".

He made the motion of kissing me again but I pushed him away from me,"You're my brother!How could you?".

Mother laughed from behind me,"Oh he was only showing you some amor.Sweet,no crees?".

Her thick ,accent laced words made me want to vomit.

"Lo unico que yo creo,es la verdad.Por lo que tu me hiciste ahora yo tambien estoy perdiendo mi mente.Eres una bruja malvada".

Her hands were wound tightly in my hair tilting my head back and a knife was pressed against my jugular. 

"Respeta a tu madre,hija malcreada!".

I choked out a laugh,"Malcreada por que haci me creo la madre".

The knife dug into my skin,quick enough to pull a shriek from me but not deep enough to kill me.

Check your back pocket!

I did as I was told,grinning discretely when I felt my fingers curl around the handle of a blade.Before another breath was taken I had pulled the knife  out of my pocket and jammed it deep into her thigh.She screeched in pain and fell back towards Jasper.
The knife she had been previously holding flew out of her hands and landed right by my foot.

"You little bitch!",she hissed.

I grabbed the weapon and slowly got on my feet.The tables had turned,I was no longer weak and she no longer had control over me.

"Didn't think I'd come prepared,did you?".

Jasper lunged at me and I managed to dodge him.He was quick to get back on his feet and get me in a headlock.I jabbed him in the stomach with my elbow and countered his headlock with one of my own.Except I had luck on my side.There was a knife in my hand and I couldn't wait to have this sweet control over him.

"Didn't know I'd love you so much,but I do".
