Breathe, And For A Moment Enjoy The Freedom In This Perfect Chaos

Chapter 1

(A/N- The story from this point on will be in Ryan's point of view)

I have to tell him. I have to.
But what is he gets freaked out and never talks to you again?
He wouldn't to that. would he? No. Hes Brendon. Hes my best friend.
Theres your point right there! Hes your best friend!
But I think I love him.
Whoa there buddy boy what?
Yeah, I know. But I really think I do.
Well good luck with that.
Shit.

I sat alone at a lunch table scribbling down lyrics in my notebook. So far they were all shit
but then again I was writing half heatedly. Alot of people say its depressing to eat by
yourself. But to be honest, I really don't mind it. It gives me time to write, think and argue
with myself.
"Hey Ryro!"
"Bren! W-what are you doing here?" I stuttered, eying his fully loaded lunch tray with hungry
eyes. I had forgotten my lunch at home and didn't have any cash.
"Well, I switched electives and that changed my PE and THAT changed my teacher and that
changed my maths and" I zoned out of the words and just looked at his plump pink lips
"And so that changed me from Mrs. stockdales 4Th period English to Mr. Holcomb's 4Th
period science, so, long story short, I have lunch with you now." He smiled and tossed me
his sandwich.
"Ryan you look anorexic. Eat."
"Thanks, I'm starving." He laughed and pointed to the small drool spot on the wooden table,
right under where my mouth was open.
"Shit."
"So Ry, hows your day going?" He asked taking a large bite of his apple.
"It's been OK. Not much homework which is always good."
"Oh awesome! That means you can come over after school right?" He asked giving me a
pout. Honestly, how do you say no to a face like that?
He's your best friend He's your best friend. You don'tTHINK shit like that about
your best friend

"I have something important to tell you too." OK, this is the part where my eyes get big and
you can visually seem my heart stop and I turn transparent due to lack of blood flow.
"Oh really? This should be interesting." He laughed and smiled, a bit of lettuce from his
Salad stuck in his teeth. Oh god what did I get myself into.

The final bell of the day rings and I start sliding worksheets into the plastic flap of my binder.
I really have no clue how I pass any classes seeing as I have no clue what were working
on.
"Remember test tomorrow." Mrs. McGourty-Riggs tells us as half the class hustles out of
her door. Aha, exhibit A, I have no clue what chapter we're on. Oh well I'll just ask Brendon
later.
Brendon! I felt heat rise through my cheeks. I had completely forgotten our little conversation
this afternoon at lunch.
"Ryan?" Mrs. McG' asked placed a hand on my shoulder. I jumped at her touch.
"Oh, sorry. I um, got lost in thought."
"It's fine." She smiled as I stuffed the rest of my papers for into my backpack where they're
sure to get lost, and ran out the door sliding on the checkered tile floor.
"Bout damn time Ryro." Brendon tapped his foot on the dying grass in front of the school.
"Oh don't play innocent Mr. Urie. I saw you sprinting over here a few seconds ago." I joked
punching him lightly in the arm.
"Oww," He pretended to cry and turned his back from me.
Even though I knew he was faking I still had a guilty feeling in my stomach at the idea of ever
hurting him.
"So, we going to your house retard or what?" I asked changing the subject.
Snapping out of his tears in about two seconds, he nodded and grabbed my hand dragging
us both down the street.
