Sometimes there are vampires who walk into direct sunlight, who refuse to believe that they've changed. They try to fight and kill their own kind.

Demetria is one of the people The Council calls to take care of them.

Fiercely independent, Demetria is the kind of girl who doesn't depend on anyone. She takes calls from the Council, fights and kills the vampires that had it coming to them and other then Achelle and Darien, is generally alone in the world. She doesn't have a sidekick, nor does she really need one.

Of course that all changes one full mooned night when she stumbles upon Quint.
