The Letter

Chapter 3- Acceptance

"It was me..." Christine said bluntly, suprising herself. "I wrote that letter to you, Randy." Jacob's eyes grew wide. He put his face in his hands. Randy was getting another love letter? Life just wasn't fair.
"My darling..." Randy said, walking to the girl seductively (and almost bumping into five chairs in the process. "It was a lovely letter. However... I cannot accept your feelings."
"I can!" Jacob's feeble cry was ignored.
The girl sniffled, "Thank you for telling me so nicely." He wiped a tear from the girl's cheek.
"All is well, my dear..." The boy backed up to the door, leaving the classroom elegantly.

The teacher stared at the classroom blankly. The boy sobbing, and the girl with her head down miserably in her seat. What had become of her orderly classroom? She wiped a bead of sweat from her forehead. It was sad that she was already used to such nonsense.
