Your Eulogy Will Be Music to My Ears.

Chapter 10

[Saturday 10:30 Third Week]

“So tell me what bands you like?” Oli said while they took their break.

“Mayhem, Buzurm, Immortal, Darkthrone, Carpathian Forest, Cannibal Corpse,” Lorraine said as if it was a natural thing.

“You do know those are early black metal bands, how does such a smart girl get into bands like that?” He asked looking curious.

“Well my Pop is big on black metal; he took me to see Darkthrone in Norway at the tender of 7. I was truly born that day.” Lorraine said looking at him.

He looked at her, truly awe struck.

“So have you seen Carpathian Forest?” He asked.

“Of course, I’ve met Nattefrost a couple of times.” She said as if it was like meeting a family member.

With a dropped jaw he looked at her.

She looked back at him and giggled.

He joined in too.

[Saturday 11:00 One Month Later]

The doors to the library busted open.

They looked up to see who it was that made such a noise.

Headmaster Young was dragging in Curtis, and Lee, Mattie and Matt inside the library each of them holding supplies.

Lorraine looked closely at it.

The supplies weren’t school books or writing pens.

They were eggs and power.

Oli saw the same.

With his head low, he couldn’t believe his friends were going to egg her.

He told them she wasn’t worth it anymore.

He guessed it was all the time he’d spent with her but not in that way.

He liked her as a friend.

She was funny and out there and great taste in music.

But he didn’t like her.

He couldn’t.

Could he?

She looked at him.

Her heart was opening up to him.

She felt so stupid.

He didn’t like her.

She was just a ruse, in his plan all along.

She gathered her stuff and threw it in her messenger.

She wasn’t going to stay for this any longer.
