Our Type of Kissing
Au Revoir
Chris’s POV
I scamper up the hallway, practically pounding down Kaley’s door. She
opens it, red eyed, ashen faced, and swaying a little bit. When she sees me
she begins to cry real hard. She throws her arms around my neck and hugs
me tight. For the first time, I don’t pull away. “I want to live!” she screams
into my chest. “Oh, dear God!” I cry. “In the name of God, Kaley, what did
you do?!” she keeps crying before whimpering “I tried to kill myself.” Blood
pounding in my ears, I lift her off the floor and carry her into her house,
setting her on the couch. “Kaley…” I start, tears springing to my eyes. She
holds up a thin hand. “It’s okay. Guess it’s good I had practice throwing up
huh?” she manages a thin smile but I close my eyes pulling her into my lap
as she tries to build up enough strength to sit. I cup her face between my
hands and press my nose to her forehead. She holds my hands and we cry
together. “Chris,” she whispers “hmm?” “Why don’t you love me?” I freeze,
slowly pulling her face away from mine. “You think I don’t love you?” “Well,”
she whispers, “you never kiss me or hold me, or anything.” My heart leaps
from my chest and crashes on the floor in a million pieces. I hold her cheek
next to mine before kissing her forehead. “I was waiting for you to love
yourself. Until you did, I couldn’t give you the love you deserve, I couldn’t truly
give you myself.” “Help me up.” She mutters. “I gotta have some dignity
when I say this.” We stand up, she’s still a bit shaky, but can
balance. “Kristofferson,” she puts her hands at the top of my throat, right
below the jaw line, and suddenly, I understand the whole giant backrub just
cuz that person is touching my throat thing, “I love you.” I look into her eyes,
the deepest silver blue possible, and slip a hand behind her waist, the other
holding up the ring “More than I can ever know?” she looks thoughtful for a
moment, before shaking her head. “I think we both know exactly how much.”
And with that my hand slips behind her neck and I pull her in, ready to take a
leap of faith. her nose is pressed to my cheek. "Kaley, I love you." Her mouth
finds mine perfectly, and I decide that in the end, waiting was the best thing I
could have ever done.
I give you myself.

♠ ♠ ♠
this chapter was real important for me, cuz in the beginning i promised a romance, and along the way, some of you were probly wondering if my head was on straight. well, i gave one heck of a romance i believe, and that is why this is better than twilight. in the end, (no pun intended, but some symbolism just realized) that's what love's alll about. "i give you myself." thank you to all my readers, hopefully i can get this inspired again. au revoir!!!!!
