Parachute

I woke up the next morning to the sun beaming in the window at my eyes, I had my head rested on Greg's chest and could hear his heart beating softly, I squinted in the sunlight and rubbed my eyes, Greg began to wake up, he ran his hand through his hair, I yawned and rolled over, I stretched my arms out and sat up,

'What time is it ?' I mumbled and fixed my dress, he sat up and look at his phone,

'12:30' he uttered, I smiled and turned to face him,

'Sleep well ?' I asked, he grinned nodded,

'Like a baby' he stated and sat up in front of me, I smiled and fixed my hair,

'Do you want something to eat ?' he asked, I grinned and nodded,

'All I can make is scrambled eggs so that's what you're getting' he teased and jumped from the bed, I laughed and got up to follow,

'If you want to borrow some clothes so you don't ruin your dress, just grab a t-shirt and some sweat pants, and use the shower if you want' he explained, I beamed widely and nodded, Greg hurried over to his wardrobe and picked up a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt and handed them to me,

'Bathroom's through there' Greg said pointing at a door across the room, I made my way to the bathroom and shut the door, I took my dress off and stripped from underwear and turned the water on, I got in the shower and began washing my hair. After quickly getting changed into Greg's Van Halen t-shirt and a rather baggy pair of grey sweatpants, I tied my wet hair up and made my way up into the kitchen, Greg had has back to me as he cooked the eggs but stopped when he heard me come in he turned on his heel to face me,

'Whoa, you look great' he chuckled, I frowned and sat down at the small table, he walked over and placed a plate of wholemeal toast and scrambled eggs in front of me and sat down with his own, I picked up the odd knife and fork and began eating. After breakfast we sat on Greg's sofa watching TV, Greg had his arm tightly around me as I texted Hannah, promising her I'd fill her in on everything later, I looked up at the clock and smiled, it was 10 to 4, I sat up and looked at Greg,

'We've got work today' I laughed, Greg chuckled and nodded,

'Let's go in together' I exclaimed, Greg grinned and nodded once more,

'Sure, but I'll have to bring you home to get changed' he explained, I smiled and pecked his cheek before resuming to my comfy position and continued watching TV. Greg quickly dropped me home and ran inside to get changed as we were running late, I grabbed my bag and my pager and ran quickly out of my apartment and jumped into the jeep, Greg laughed and began to drive as I applied my make up. We arrived at the lab strolling into the break room together,

'Hey boo' Warrick called as we walked in, I grinned and Greg chuckled,

'Hey slut' he teased and punched Warrick playfully in the arm,

'You two came in cleverly on time' Warrick scowled, I looked at Greg and smiled,

'Yeah, I know, freaky' Greg said and winked at me as he turned his back to Warrick to sit down, I grinned and poured myself a cup of coffee.
